The place itself was well done out and very clean and tidy. The rooms were of a good high quality and immaculate. Chris and james were exceptional hosts always happy to help with whatever we needed. The staff were really polite and friendly. The location was perfect for us both. They even made sure our dog max was looked after and always made a fuss of him.

The village pub is closed on Tuesday's however there is a shop adjacent to the pub whereby you can get most supplies (alcohols and the likes) to spend the evening in the accommodation. There is also a fish and chip shop which again was closed however details of opening times are displayed for all to see. Gainford is a small but pleasant village between Barnard Castle and Darlington.
