The hotel is actually at Yattendon a few miles from Frilsham and as I stayed overnight in winter I didn't see Frilsham. As I used to live not that far away I knew the Royal Oak had a good reputation.

Perfect for its sense of being “in the middle of nowhere.”

Perfect for its sense of being “in the middle of nowhere.” Good choice of eating options especially if the weather is fine. Delightful orangery for breakfast which had a very good selection of freshly cooked dishes.
