A very welcoming and organised check-in on Sat evening. Good explanation of key system! A great room with huge bathroom and perfect for us and our dog. Very, very clean and nicely decorated.
Brilliant band in the pub on Sat night…great fun and entertainment. Happy hour between 8-9 meant we only spent £10 for4 pints and 2 cokes. Really lovely tasty perfect breakfast at 8am the next morning. We had such a fab time and the Crown far exceeded our expectations. Thank you

Quiet, restful, wonderful staff and generous breakfast. Can adjust temperature in room, which helps when it's a bit chilly. Location wonderful - close to Wells. Access to a communal kitchen and lounge.

House was super clean and owners were super accommodating and helpful.
I made a mistake on the booking and they sorted it generously, efficiently and didn't
make any drama.
They answered our question very quickly and were very welcoming. House was
cozy even though it was February. We're all very happy and didn't want to leave.

The pub is a typical country pub but the dining rooms were decorated to a very high standard and were very good taste in my opinion - it was obvious a lot of thought had gone into the design of everything.
The two rooms we booked in the purpose built buildings outside the pub were beautiful with great attention to detail.
The gardens and outside areas were beautifully looked after and so the whole site is very attractive and appealing,
Lovely staff - all extremely helpful and friendly

It was a good place to use as a base to explore North Norfolk. Kings Lynn, Norwich, Sheringham, Aylsham, Burnham Overy, Burnham, Walsingham all within easy access. Local pubs and shopping facilities are fine, but nothing to write home about.

Great for the coast.
Great for the coast.
Morrisons, Tesco, lidl easily accessible when self catering.
Lovely walks along the river Wensum and around the town.
Recommend Mr Chips for fish and chips. We were able to sit outside under a rambling vine!
Not easy to drive through the town. Definitely recommend a satnav.

In actual fact we did come to the area to walk the beaches and didn’t venture much into Fakenham itself. But the town is in good vicinity to the beaches and many great pubs and things to do and places to see ie Wells next the sea etc

It was an amazing short stay.
It was an amazing short stay. Extremely relaxing with all the home comforts that you need. The breakfast and evening meal was bespoke standard and really good. My husband would have liked a TV in our room but I was happy with the radio
We had originally only booked for two nights. However, we liked it so much that we spontaneously wanted to book another night. Coincidentally, someone had cancelled that very day, so we were able to stay the third night after all.
Brian is such a super nice, polite, accommodating person that we would come back anytime for that reason alone. He had great tips on where to go on our excursions.
The service is first class and better than any good hotel.
The room is spotlessly clean and leaves nothing to be desired.
Very comfortable and clean. Decoration was of a very high standard. Beds were super comfortable. Host met us to show us around and was available next door if needed. Sitting out area was beautiful and so quiet considering we were only 5min walk from the centre of Fakenham. Easy parking in allocated spot.
The air-conditioning units on our last day were great as the weather turned really hot. Everything that you needed had been provided.
Thanks
Breakfast was fine: we got what we asked for from a very willing person. The size of the room was also fine, but with three very large and intrusive green lights which I could not put out, meant that there was permanent light in the room which made it very difficult to sleep. I understand the need for the green light, but other hotels have a small green light which gives enough guidance.
Staff were willing but pretty restrained.
It is a small very stylish hotel . Our room was very comfortable and and had lots of personal touches eg. the flask of milk for our morning tea , the tea cake .
We had the MOST delicious meal at the hotel bar!!
The young hotel staff were very welcoming in particular Anna who one can only describe as a service professional.
I would highly recommend this gem of a hotel .
Convenient location in central Fakenham, free on site parking a plus. Very friendly welcome. Choice of cereals in room, with milk and orange juice in mini-fridge. Although sharing a bathroom/toilet, there was also a separate second toilet. Both were very clean, and the shower was good.
Lovely property in a very good location.
Spotlessly clean with all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay.
Very quiet area close to nice walks if you like walking or have a dog.
Would recommend this propertly and would definitely stay again.
Hotel is bang next door to a pub, where on weekends they have v loud disco going on till midnight. No problem if you're in your 20s, or you know about it in advance, but we aren't and we didn't. Room is nice enough, and staff friendly for sure.
-Staff absolutely brilliant, professional, well organised, welcoming and lovely to talk to.
-Hotel is very smart, finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean.
-Location with large free car park, easy to find, very pretty location.
Superb accommodation in a fascinating building, everything you could need. Close to all town amenities - Fakenham has an amazing market on a Thursday morning - and half an hour to the coast.
The location is great, rural yet a lovely walk to Sculthorpe Mill for meal and drinks in the evening. There is also a 2 mile walk via the old rail route to Fakenham
