Beautiful location. Grounds are so cute and very much cater for wedding photos.
Rooms are motel style and comfortable and adequate size for short stay. Very quiet and quaint about 1 and half miles from village of Kirkpatrick-Fleming.Beds comfortable and plenty of very, very hot water.

The warm welcome was a lovely start to our 2 night stay here. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us; just how hotel service should be, with a special mention to Madison who we saw most often - a credit to the team!
Our room (101) provided all we needed. The bed and bedding were comfortable, clean and soft (pillowcases & duvet cover were very nice). No view as such but as we were out most of the time during our stay that didn't matter.
The breakfast choices were good - we enjoyed a full Scottish on the first morning (excellent 👌🏼) and a really delicious cheese and ham 3 egg omelette on the second morning.
The hotel location was just right for us - being central for the things we wanted to walk to (Solway Spirits, Annandale Distillery and Lonsdale Cinema) whilst exploring Annan town and surrounding areas on foot.
Situated just 10 miles north of Gretna and well located in a scenic area of south-west Scotland, Kirkconnel Hall is a magnificent 15th century manor set in extensive gardens and grounds.

Old stately house, lovely grounds, very peaceful and relaxing. About 15 mins from M74. Good instructions and communications from owners. Long drive to the house so would be wary in snow and ice. We stayed midweek and there was only a handful of guests. Their main business is as a wedding venue and corporate. Clean and very comfortable. Our room was not en suite but had our own private bathroom on the opposite side of the corridor, screened off and with bathrobes provided, so not a problem.
Breakfast was very good, eveining meal a bit ordinary and overpriced.

The important things were excellent.
The important things were excellent. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean, the food was excellent and the staff lovely. The location is superb with fine views from the bar and the lounge.
Disliked · We received five emails advising us to turn off the sat nav and to follow the directions to the hotel that were provided. (OK, got the message!). The irony was that the road to the hotel was closed so the directions were useless, there were no diversion signs and no mobile phone signal to call the hotel for advice. We had to find our own alternative route which, long story short, took us over an hour to eventually arrive at the hotel. I was just thankful we weren't trying to do this on a wet dark night! Other guests had had the same problem and over dinner the topic of 'how did you get here?' was quite a talking point.
It turns out that the emails are automatically sent out and no-one had thought to change the information......

On arriving in the village, following emailed directions, I found the road to the hotel closed for major roadworks. I phoned the hotel and the receptionist assured me someone would call me back with new directions. I am still waiting! I eventually worked out an alternative route, but is was some miles out of the way, down some 'interesting' country lanes. That I would not have minded, had up-to-date instructions been provided in the first place.
