Everything. Location, friendliness, cleanliness and food. The attention to detail was incredible. I had the best sleep ever. Beach on the door step. Cocktails and shortbread waiting in the room and rocking chairs on the veranda . Every member of staff were happy to help and offer advice about the area. A real hidden gem.

Dornoch is such a wonderful town.
Dornoch is such a wonderful town. I was amazed by the architecture from various periods but the Georgian and Edwardian stood out and looked stunning in red sandstone! The castle hotel bar is a must see, also the cathedral where Madonna got married to Guy Ritchie and also Elon Musk got married there too! The beech walks and also the Golf course, rated as the number 1 golf course in Scotland (I spoke to golfers at this festival who gave me their honest opinions) with a links style supposedly better than St Andrews! Although I was there for the local whisky festival, the people were so pleasant and made you feel so welcome and the hotel/ pubs were outstanding with the accompanying food menu's were superb.

Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach.
Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach. The Museum and Heritage Trail are very interesting and well worth the time. The cathedral is worth a visit and there are some interesting shops to explore. And we noticed an electric car charging point! We only stayed one night but it would have been better to have stayed for two as we didn't have enough time to visit all the attractions.

Dornoch is a lovely small town/large village with a number of interesting buildings, an ancient Cathedral, a magnificent beach, an interesting Museum, a range of shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants. It is also close to Golspie and the nearby Dunrobin Castle.
I am not a golfer but for golfers it is a paradise.
Unfortunately, on this occasion time pressures precluded a longer stay but it is a destination which I know quite well and would have no hesitation in recommending a visit to visitors to the area.
The location is very good, in a quiet street across from a church and at the end of the Main Street which has all the bars and restaurants etc within a 15 min walk. Breakfast was freshly made and excellent. There are only two rooms so its very peaceful and the host was so friendly. Parking is nearby in the church car park and free. We were there for a golf break and Royal Dornoch is a 15 min walk away , with Golspie , Tain and Brora all within a short drive. All should be played if you're a golf fan.
We feel a bit mean rating this hotel as OK as there was nothing 'wrong' with it except it needs a bit of TLC. It did the job, the bed was OK for a couple of nights but started to bring on all the aches & pains after that. The breakfast was OK but limited ( probably because of CV-19 ), the showers were OK but not great. Having said all that The Eagle was the one hotel that was open in Dornoch and the staff were welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable.
Lovely cottage with everything you could need. Kim provided some local produce for breakfast which was very thoughtful (and delicious). You can tell that Kim has put a lot of thought and care into the place and that translates into a great experience, no cheap old dodgy pans or blunt bread knives here but high quality amenities. Highly recommend if you're looking to stay in Dornoch.
A very comfortable, clean apartment, in an ideal position in Dornoch.
Loved the heated floors in Kitchen and Bathroom!
Bed was very comfortable, and plenty of hot water for shower.
Great location to travel on 'day trips' up the NC500 or drive down to Inverness.
We would certainly recommend to friends and family.
Loved the location - Dornoch is a beautiful village and the hotel is right in the centre close to the Carnegie Whisky Cellars (highly recommended). Room was clean and comfortable, but the bar was superb and very cost with a great selection of drinks. Food in the restaurant was also lovely, as was breakfast.
The cabin was extremely clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was clean and high quality. It's very close to Dornoch for all the amenities that you could possibly need, but there is also a garage and restaurant directly across the road. Will definitely be back.
We liked how close to the dornoch village the pod was, very clean, very cosy. The underfloor heating is such a good touch especially for when we had been a cold walk. Great little pod that was everything we were looking for, will definitely be back in the future. Thank you so much!
This was an amazing B&B with every possible home comfort. Dee & Nigel were excellent hosts and their house is just fantastic. Beautiful views over the Dornoch Firth. Really looking forward to a return visit later in the year.
Quiet location, everything needed was catered for. Comfortable cabin, friendly park managers and neighbors.
Wine and shortbread was a bonus. DVD's and books were well received.
Easy distance to Dornoch and beyond.
Lovely hotel in Dornoch. We had a room in the newer wing which was comfortable and clean. A lovely breakfast was included in the booking. My partner very much enjoyed the extensive range of whiskeys in the bar!!
Lovely owners and very, very accommodating. Room was large and well equipped. they gave us an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. One of our top three dinners in Scotland so far!
