Set in 9 acres of private parkland, in the heart of the Highlands, Macdonald Drumossie Hotel is only 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Inverness and has free parking.

The food and service in the hotel restaurant is excellent, the best we have ever experienced on our travels. The room was very nice, we managed to get an upgrade for the price of a normal room, which was excellent. Quiet and peaceful, which is what we like. A great place if you have dogs, they even have a doggy menu.

I came here for the Culloden battlefield and Cawdor Castle.

I came here for the Culloden battlefield and Cawdor Castle. The battlefield is a special and emotional experience, the visitor Centre is excellent. Cawdor can be missed, but it was still special and rich with associations.
