The staff member who checked us in was super helpful, she even popped down and put the heating on for us before our arrival because the temperature had dropped. The room was exactly as shown and was clean, comfortable and perfect for our needs. We didn't hear anything from the restaurant/bar and we stayed on a Saturday night.
Above the rolling Leicestershire countryside, this former country house offers all the charm and beauty of the Midlands right on its doorstep.

Conference style hotel, big rooms, big beds, very good value for money. Not a destination but a good alternative to travelodge.

Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable, good value for money. Nice place and friendly staff.
However, the car park is full of pot holes and could cause a lot of damage to the car if you are unlucky enough to hit one!

I went to Coalville for a party with friends who live in the area. I don't think there is much to see in Coalville itself although they did have a very interesting hoarding up with the history of the town. If I had more time, I may have explored more but I was only there for a couple of nights.
We ate in the Turkish restaurant . highly recommend.

I did not book there, I booked for Markfield.
I did not book there, I booked for Markfield. I rang through to cancel, they couldn’t see I’d booked. A few weeks later they took £192 out of my bank. I’m a pensioner and that took me into an overdraft which is not free. I complained. The arguments go on. They will not pay me back. They are robbing pensioners, it’s sad when they reduce themselves to this!!!!

I used the hotel to attend a music event at the Victoria Bikers Pub opposite so I didn't see the town. However, there is the Hermitage Fishing Lake and Recreation Ground a 5 minute walk away which made for a really nice walk on Saturday morning before the event in the afternoon.

We weren't staying there to visit Coalville.
We weren't staying there to visit Coalville. We were visiting relatives a few miles away and we were using the hotel as a base. Having said that, it looked like a busy town as we were driving through.
Rooms very clean, simply but nicely furnished. Bathrooms spacious and newly appointed.
Indian restaurant (attached but nothing to do with hotel) great food and service highly recommend. (But only wheelchair accessible from inside 'hotel')
Our family room (no 5) was great - spacious, clean, comfortable beds, excellent shower room. Although by front door, we had no noise issues
Victoria Bikers pub is different and I’ve never to a place quite like it. If you want 5 star comfort and all the mod cons probably it’s best for you to book the normal boring hotel. At the Victoria you get 5 star fun and enjoyment. The room was very clean though ,but what makes it is the atmosphere , people and the music.Come on , try it.
Staff were warm and welcoming, despite us turning up looking like drowned rats. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Quiet too.
Really liked that there were 3 tea bags rather than just 2 - thank you. Easy walk into Coalville, where we found a lovely Italian restaurant.
Good friendly staff, good location, good little pub. You get what you pay for, isn't a 5* hotel but it was perfect for what we needed and what we paid for it.
Everything looked like it was recently refurbished. It was right in the centre of Coalville and had free parking. There was also free wifi which is a bonus.
really clean and tidy, big room and a very clean bathroom. great breakfast snd a well stocked bar. easy stroll into Coalville or there’s a Morrisons nearby
The rooms were clean and the hotel was located close to the town centre. Friendly service but staff could do with badges to identify them as non guests
