Excellent breakfast and good evening meal although a bit pricey. Staff were very attentive and efficient. Great old worldly atmosphere, however it would have completed the picture if the log fire was burning! Our room was spacious and comfortable.

My partner and myself loved everything about it. Sean and Gemma were wonderful so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel.
The evening meal was superb and the breakfast was just as nice with plenty of choice.
Our room was luxurious, comfortable and clean. We honestly couldn't fault anything about our stay, we found a little gem and would definitely return, also recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting the Cotswolds to stay here. Bampton is a pretty place and an ideal touring base.
Thank you to the Fleur de lys and especially to Sean and Gemma for making our stay a special one.

This was a great hotel - unusual and quirky - with fantastic service from all members of staff.
The food was excellent, especially the evening meal.
A really delightful place to spend a couple of nights.
The hotel has a good ambience both inside and out with good sitting areas and a cosy feel. We booked a 'cosy' room so knew that it would be small but the bed was superking size which was great. There was also a fan which was essential to keep the room cool during a particularly warm period. Towelling dressing gowns were great and lots of towels. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Service from all members of staff was superb.
The food was delicious, we ate at the hotel restaurant both nights and in particular the scallops were probably the best I’ve ever tasted.
The staff were really helpful, we had some issues with our room since the heating wasn’t working and members of the team were trying within their means to help by providing complimentary hot drinks to our room.
The hotel and room were exceptional with great decor throughout the hotel and room. The staff were amazing and very friendly and couldn't make us feel more welcome. The food was excellent and the bar very well stocked for all drinks and cocktails with fine whiskies, wines and gins!
Thank you and we will be back.
I booked this for my boyfriends birthday and it exceeded expectations. Staff were so accommodating and were able to offer us a free upgrade which was lovely! The food at the hotel is amazing, you have everything you need at the property for a chilled weekend break.
Evening meal expensive for what it was and poor portions.
Buffet breakfast ok, we didn’t have the cooked breakfast as the evening meal put us off.
Must say though the majority of the staff very friendly and pleasant throughout the hotel.
The Double Red Duke is a gorgeous and delightful inn with warm, helpful personnel and a fabulous kitchen. Located at a quiet crossroads in the village of Clanfield in the Cotswolds, you can get anywhere in the area quickly.
Great hidden hotel in a little village. Food was superb 5 starts, one must have dinner at this Hotel a real gourmet food. rooms were big, bathrooms real antiques but beautiful.
