Lovely village pub.
We didnt want to complain as we were there for a funeral so a lot going on for us.
Lots of dust and cobwebs in the room. Carpet was stained. Shower not the cleanest. Such a shame as the pub downstairs was really welcoming and nice staff.

More of a conference and venue hotel, nice surroundings .
More of a conference and venue hotel, nice surroundings .Not happy at been charged twice for our stay, tried getting through to their accounts department to sort ,5 times must of been on holidays . Contacted manager and he found out why ,problem solved money returned, As far as our room for two 70 plus clients having to climb a spiral staircase with overnight bags ,not easy, ground floor would have been better with a bit of thought on the hotels part this should of been arrange.

The chiltern hills and surrounding are outstanding. Lots of areas for walking, plenty of historic towns and villages and nearby are places such as Amersham old town, Marlow and Henley on Thames and the idyllic villages of Turville and Hambleden.

Hotel is situated in wonderful country side but some distance from Chesham. The main house has an uninterrupted view over the lake. The bedroom was very small and some distance from the bar & restaurant that in poor weather would be a problem

We visited a few towns and villages in the local area and enjoyed countryside walks. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby, I would recommend the use of a car to explore the area.

The manor house is amazing and well kept, we enjoyed walking on the property and off the grounds as well. It is very scenic, full of country walks and history. The library is a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy a cuppa and wind down with cool drinks and a cheese plate. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
It is a beautiful property that is incredibly clean and tidy. The grounds are also very well kept. The breakfast was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. As someone with a severe gluten allergy it was refreshing to see allergy information readily available with lots of different choices for those who do have allergies. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The bar is gorgeous and has fantastic character for those looking for a relaxing drink.
The Main house mansion was gorgeous. You could see the vast improvements they must have made, to newer furnishings, interesting wallpapers, adorable fireplace inserts. The dining and bar area were gorgeously decorated as well.
The Manor itself is located on well kept, mature English countryside with incredible views and an easy walking path either by the waters edge of through a small wooded area.
The main hotel was lovley, the swimming pool isn't.monotored and git very busy, with people throwing a ball around with kids swimming, a bit weird of them, but it was packed l. Grounds are lovley , bar a bit small but the library was nice, but they kept reserved seats all night from the afternoon teas in the day. But loved the hotel
We loved the little patio area. The breakfast and restaurant room was exceptional . Beautiful decor and setting. The breakfast was also wonderful and tasty. The staff were wonderful with my father in law who had COPD. One of the reception even gave him a oxygen and pulse monitor for the night. Extremely caring and considerate.
Our room, when we eventually found it, was warm and clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was of a good standard and the staff were attentive and friendly. Our overall experience was good and we would definitely return when we are next in the area.
The breakfast was good in a really lovely setting with the staff they did have clearly working very hard. The breakfast service was friendly and a very impressive chef that was running the show all on her own! The grounds of the hotel were also beautiful.
Excellent location in centre of Chesham. Short walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars, station and park. Very kind and helpful host, Ricky, ably supported by Sarah. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
The hotel is amazing. The facilities are brilliant. The staff at reception are very welcoming and the bar team, with Christian and the staff looking after you are very professional.
The staff were friendly. The hotel is very clean and well looked after. Great location for an event. Breakfast was good and had a good variety. Parking facilities was good.
The hotel itself is stunning. It’s off the beaten track so if u go on a night out you will need a taxi back as it’s not walking distance thru winding roads and woodlands.
Lovely setting outside. Staff friendly. Plenty of comfortable areas to sit inside. Great restaurant and food.
Interesting historical connections with WW2.
