Lovely clean room. Plenty of space and storage. Comfy bed and lovely breakfast.
This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.

The breakfast was superb, a fantastic range of foods juice and hot drinks. The room had a nice bathroom and plenty of storage space. The staff were very good, helpful and polite.

We were in room 14. The whole business is closed and shouldn't be available for rental. It is false advertising as what their website shows is far from the truth. Mould on walls. Toilet not flushing. Dirty bedding. Threadbare carpets. It is clear that the business has closed. It shouldn't be avialbe for use and to be charged £105 for room only, for a place that is inhabitable is a disgrace. Booking.com need to do more research on what they are offering. I would be very hesitatnt to use booking.com again. I will be making a review on trip advisor.

The town itself isn't particularly interesting, but it has a lovely castle with attractive grounds - great for walking round and also entrance at times. Surrounding countryside is also attractive with easy access to the Wye Valley, Roman remains at Caerwent and the Brecon Beacons.

TV couldn't recieve signal, could only access a hand full of channels. Food from the nearby restaurants were very poor. Bed was very uncomfortable. Shower gel and had wash almost empty. only one toilet roll in bathroom. lack of staff
The reception staff! What lovely staff , such diamonds in the rough, quite literally!
Very happy to clean the bathroom for me, friendly with the dogs, and probs the best thing about the place . Around the car park and back of hotel plenty benches and grassy areas for dogs . I liked that the hotel was dog friendly and reasonably priced for their charges. Plenty shops next to hotel . Plenty parking
Excellent location opposite the impressive Caldicot Castle, a short walk to the village centre and also nearby to the coast walk to view the Severn Bridges.
Comfortable spacious rooms and a very good choice of breakfast.
I left my wristwatch behind, which was returned by secure post, excellent service.
Happy to recommend.
Try the Castle Inn across the road, cracking little pub.
We used as a stop over on a long journey the hotel is fine nothing really to complain about just very very hot luckily we had a fan with us and a little noisy as we faced the car park and there was a car meet up with cars revving from 4am not sure if this was a one off and we just got unlucky but bed were comfy and had freeview tv and a mc Donald’s next door for breakfast
The location was perfect for us as we were going to a gig at Caldicot Castle and it was literally across the road. Easy to find, access instructions were great, parking on the drive and extremely close to a pub which did a fantastic meal.
Great freshly cooked breakfast which set us up for the day
The staff present on the day were very understanding of our situation. Unfortunately, they did not have any spare rooms. We had booked for 7 nights but we requested to leave after one night. The hotel staff gave us a full refund and £20 food voucher.
Lovely stay after a hard day's work. The Wales game was on and everybody was on a high so good atomosphere combined with great staff to control everything. Would recommend this place to others whilst working also.
Absolutely everything was perfect, I have never been anywhere that offers so much for such a good price, even 4* hotels I have used don’t come up to this standard. Can’t wait to go again!
Breakfasts were wholesome, well cooked and presented. The Caldicot Room overlooking the garden was peaceful very comfortable and the facilities provided were very good. A homely place.
