The Grounds and the main house are well worth a vist.
Plenty of nice comfortable seating areas both indoors and outside in the main house for a night cap , early morning relaxed coffee or just sitting with friends for a drink.
Good easy car parking.
Close to the town.
Quite no traffic noise.

Very clean and spacious. Near town centre. The shower though was very dangerous and slippery. I slipped and hurt my back and banged my head. Now one around to report it.

Bury St Edmunds is a beautiful Town with plenty of lovely places to visit. It has a very unspoilt, almost old fashioned feel to it. There are plenty of great Independent shops and also larger more recognisable high street chains. The Abbey Gardens are beautiful especially in the Summer time.
You are spoilt for choice with the selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs to eat in. The Apex is a fantastic venue to watch a show in or just wander in and have a coffee.

Bury St Edmunds is a wonderfully historic English town with a slower pace than Cambridge. It’s definitely a really nice change from busy London. I would stay in Bury St Edmunds over Cambridge. Just take the train to Cambridge for a day and then come back to the calm of Bury St. Edmunds to enjoy your precious time minus the tourists.

Bury St Edmund’s is a very English town full of heritage. The Abbey Gardens and ruins are beautiful and well maintained. The town is full of small gourmet restaurants and quaint cafes. Giggling Squid restaurant is amazing! There are plenty of shops for buying gifts and a regular market on Wednesdays. You do not need a car to get around this town.

Bury St Edmunds is a lovely place to visit and the Abbey Gardens are lovely to walk round. We were seeing relatives, The Bushal was in an ideal place near the town. We went by train so no car and The Bushal was good for that. A good place to visit, and historical.

10 is not high enough for this charming hotel. Everything was beyond excellent. Nigel and his wife deserve all the highest praise. Lovely full English breakfast prepared by them for all the guests. Rooms were very comfortable, even during England's hottest times. They even offered to take us to the train station when it was too early for taxis.
Cheap and cheerful hotel, very basic in terms of comfort and how facilities are maintained. One night stay is acceptable, if you plan to stay longer i would suggest looking elsewhere. Staff where very helpful during our stay. Essentially you get what you pay for, this is a basic hotel. Having said that the room was clean and warm.
We were upgraded to a lovely suite and the facilities were brilliant. The breakfast, pre-ordered the night before and delivered to our door, was delicious. Safe parking right outside the door. Easy walking distance to all the sights and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Lovely and friendly owner. Really comfortable bed with top quality bedding. Nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch, and great toiletries. Ideally situated near the town centre. Probably the best cooked breakfast we’ve ever had at a bed and breakfast. Will be returning next year.
We loved staying in the log cabin .it was lovely and clean .we had air con and central heating if needed. WiFi was very good. The food at the hotel was excellent amazing breakfast especially the scrambled egg. Great steak dinner. The garden was well kept .
The location is excellent for Bury Saint Edmunds. The staff were lovely and I will go back again. I believe major refurbishment is a planned in the spring following a recent change in management that will enhance the property enormously.
Attractive comfortable hotel. Well located close to the cathedral and restaurants. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Staff helpful. Good range of well prepared breakfast options. Very pleasant stay.
Lovely house in a brilliant location on a street full of independent quirky shops and restaurants.
