Brookfield House Warcop, hotel in Brough

Located in Warcop, within 29 km of Askham Hall and 6 km of Brough Castle, Brookfield House Warcop provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive.

It was a beautifully presented room in a gorgeous house in a gorgeous area. We had the warmest of welcomes and we were enjoyed our time exploring the area and up into the penines- it is definitely a good little area to explore with the penines to the north, the lakes to the west and so on. Could not recommend enough

Unspoilt, unpretentious, relaxed small town with friendly people and fabulous cafe by the river. Great location for Cumbria and Northumberland, for walking and sightseeing. Solo travellers will feel at home here.

I have known Brough for a long time and have found the locals to be friendly and ready to help with information if required. The village is quiet with two Pubs which serve meals. I dined at INN Hotel the food was good. There is a village shop which caters for most items you might need and has nice staff. The village is a good starting point for outdoor activities. The village has good footpaths so easy to get around. Kirby Stephen is four miles away which has a train station and a Co-op supermarket and post office if required.

Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Disappointed with the size of the room, and a constant noise all night like the sound of a generator. Not as luxurious as we had anticipated for a 5 star hotel.

Breakfast was excellent. Brough is a much smaller village than I had expected: one other pub and a small village shop was about the total
