I went for the local comic con, hotel was right on the doorstep of the con so I didn't have to walk far and they were cosplayer friendly. Would recommend to other cosplayers for future comic cons. Very helpful when we had trouble finding bags for some of the stuff we had bought.

Bromborough, where I grew up as a child, is an ideal...

Bromborough, where I grew up as a child, is an ideal location for visiting the local towns of Chester and Liverpool, as it is located on both train and bus networks, with frequently running services at very reasonable fares. The historic town of Chester, the Lady Lever Art Gallery at Port Sunlight, and Liverpool City Centre, with it´s many tourist attractions are all within easy reach. Bromborough itself, has a large shopping centre, just outside the village, but within easy walking distance, as well as the original village centre, with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

The accommodation is separated from the pub so there is no noise from people leaving the pub. The room was clean and nicely spaced. The shower was OK but as this was fed from the bath taps it wasn't very powerful but it did the job.

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by a lovely receptionist who offer for us to park our bikes in front of the hotel entrance. Food was good and exactly what we needed. Staff went out of their way to assure we had a good stay and a flawless check in for our return (ferry arrived at 2 am in the morning). Beds were super comfy, everything else clean. Breakfast was good, too. Was a nice stay on our way to IoM.

The food dishes on the Pesto Italian menu and the cooked breakfast both are great. It’s convenient for driving to Bebington, Birkenhead and elsewhere in Bromborough. The dining areas are very attractive and the hotel is a historic property. The local countryside is lovely.

We have stayed in this hotel many times and always enjoyed it. We are aware that it is in need of a complete revamp as it is very old. It suits us as we have our grandchildren a three minute drive from us.
