Lovely pub, great atmosphere, warm welcome. Loved the feel of this place. Room was beautiful, great decor, stylish but traditional. Room was cosy and comfortable.

The hotel itself and the surroundings are gorgeous. There are plenty of things to do nearby, and the surrounding area has heaps of lovely walks and hikes right on your doorstep - if you're feeling adventurous, be sure to check out Finsthwaite Tower. The choice of places to eat in the hotel, as well as room service was fantastic, and we were very impressed with the facilities on offer at the Swan - both the leisure suite and the Spa/Thermal Suite were excellent. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome by everyone we came into contact with during our stay. The treatments in the Spa were incredible, and our only disappointment was that we hadn't pre-booked more of them! Our room was lovely, and we had a beautiful view across the river. The hotel itself was nice and quiet and despite booking during off-peak, it still felt very vibrant and had a great atmosphere to it. We had some car trouble the day before we were due to check out which meant we had to wait for a local garage to try and fix our car, the staff at the Swan couldn't have been more helpful - checking to make sure we were okay and even going as far as to reserve a room for us incase our car wasn't fixed in time for our check out, which was a weight lifted. Overall we couldn't fault the hotel and its fantastic facilities - it was our first time staying at the Swan, and we're still talking about how lovely it was! We are already planning our next trip back and have recommended the hotel to friends and family. Thanks so much to all the staff at the Swan, we had a memorable trip and look forward to staying with you all again soon.
Set on the banks of the River Leven. The hotel has 2 restaurants, The Riverside Restaurant and The Dolly Blue Bar & Grill. Access to Cascades Health and Fitness Club is included for all of our guests....
Lakeside Hotel sits on the southern shore of Lake Windermere and is only 15 minutes from junction 36 of the M6 motorway. The hotel offers stunning views of Lake Windermere.

Bouth is a tiny village at the bottom of the Lakes. It was perfect for our stay, just 20 minutes by car up to Bowness. We were here to ride the Cumbrian Heavy Horses in Millom so was ideal for what we needed.
The food at the hotel was very good as was the food at The Manor where we ate on the Monday night as The White Hart does not do food on a Monday. The Manor was just 10 mins away by car so we got to enjoy two places to eat.

Bouth looks a very lovely little village and thevpub seems to be the heart as there were a lot of locals in the pub which is always a good thing.
We will return to this area again and will definitely use the White Hart Hotel again for accommodation and food.

The room was in an annexe with tables and chairs outside which was used by smokers so the smell got into the room which was unpleasant. The room was ok if quite dark. The wifi was usable but not fast. The breakfast on the first day was excellent but not so on the second day(different chef?)
The hotel is next to the very busy main road and not ideal for walkers as there is no footpath along the road which has heavy fast moving traffic. Overall the service was good so 7/10
This is a superb place to stay. I am amazed at the low star rating as I have been in many hotels with higher ratings and they fall well short of this place.
Everything was good, check in, menu choices, room for comfort and cleanliness, bar. All the staff were efficient and polite.
The only downside is the busy road. It is sometimes very difficult to get out of the car park if you are turning right.
Food was really good in the pub and breakfast was delicious. Our room was quiet but being at the top of the property was pretty warm. We opened the skylight for airflow but it started to rain, so we had to close it. The room was a good size, well equipped but low ceiling height and only a bath in the ensuite. Having said all that, we definitely thought it was good value.
The room was very good, clean and well decorated. Both the breakfast, which was included, and the lunch plus evening meal were lovely with plenty of choices on the menu. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel also benefited from having a large car park behind the property which was particularly helpful as Bouth is a small village with narrow streets.
The first room we were given was appalling, it was like Bates motel , dark , dingy small , in a converted bungalow at the back of the hotel , after complaining they did move us to a better room but it was very tired and noisy from the main road , breakfast was nice and the lady who did move us helpful but overall an appalling night away .
We really enjoyed the breakfast. We had a full English, of good quality food
There was also quite a good choice of cereals, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, juices toast etc with tea and coffee
The bedding and towels in our room were of excellent quality
There was also a good powerful shower, but unfortunately over the bath
The staff were very good to the guests the morning after Storm Arwen, some of them had to battle through blocked roads and knowing the hotel had no power and heating brought camping stoves to produce a basic breakfast (bacon sandwiches). Luckily we had a very good meal the night before at the hotel.
Nice & clean rooms. Tasty food & good options in breakfast. Friendly staff especially manager Mr John who has provided bus transport details in the area and kindly helped us in getting refund as we were charged twice by booking system. Overall great experience.
Great base to explore the Lake District. Ample free parking. Rooms were clean and were great value for money. Good breakfast either cooked or continental. Friendly staff. I have no hesitation in recommending Rusland Pool Hotel
Breakfast was served in a lovely room with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, delicious meal, served with a smile and beautiful scenery. Also had dinner at the hotel, great food and service again.
Great host very friendly and chatty, staff also excellent ,Food is always first class and plentiful you will not go hungry here.Would recommend the hotel for a great stay and will go back again no problem.
Great hotel located in of the quiet countryside.
Not to far from the main road and Newbiebridge
Landlord (and chef) very friendly. Food good value and tasty filling fare.
The host Lee is so welcoming. The location is beautiful. Not too far from getting to the lakes. All in all a wonderful setting. The food at the hotel is nice.
