Kings Head, hotel in Botesdale

Set in North Lopham, Kings Head features a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property.

The Kings Head is a truly lovely place to stay. I went with my young son and we had an amazing time. We received a warm welcome, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room was sparkling and extremely comfortable. The pub itself has so much character and the food is delicious. We loved walking around North Lopham, enjoying the tranquil ambience. Couldn't fault it at all, we will definitely be back.

As i have already given the details of the insufficient information in regards to gaining access to the property i will skip that - upon entering the property we found that the cups plates and bowls had been put in the cupboards dirty and had to be washed before they could be used. There was no mention of the steps entering the property by the car park which caused some of our party issues as there was no had rail. Electric hob is a danger as it is so old the indicators as to which hob is lit are not visable, and you could not see what temperature the hob was on. It transpires that the village is having a major overhaul of their electric and the village has been running on generators for the past two weeks, at 8.30 on Saturday morning as we were preparing a celebratory breakfast the electric went off - upon contacting a member of the maintenance team were were informed that there was not much he could do apart from report it. We were left with no option but to go out for breakfast, which had a knock on effect to the whole day where arrangements had been made for the day for us to return to the property in the late afternoon before it got dark. However as we were on tender hooks as to whether the electric would be restored as one of our party needed electric for medical equipment during the night and we were not sure that the electric would be restored we needed to give ourselves sufficient time to return to the property to check the situation and give ourselves sufficient time to pack up and return home whilst it was still daylight. As the owners were aware of the electric situation we should have been made aware that this was a possibility and given the chance to rearrange the dates. the maintenance person i was dealing with informed me that information had been left at the property regarding the electric however all we found was information relating to the 18th September in that the power could go off between the hours of 9.00 and 12.
