I enjoyed a great nights R&R during a long journey south. Staff were so kind and attentive. Spa treatment was a perfect antidote to a stressful journey. Room was very comfortable; food delicious , in particular the breakfast. A bag with water and snacks for my onward journey was a very thoughtful gesture. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Will definitely return.

Byron Bar features oak panelling and an historic fireplace. The Courtyard Restaurant has a fine menu, and oak beams. Each en suite room at The Bridge has digital TV.

The location was good for us. We needed to be close to Allerton castle for a wedding. The food and service in the bar and restaurant was good.
