Dunster Castle Hotel, hotel in Bossington

Dunster Castle Hotel is located in the medieval village of Dunster. Free WiFi access is available. All rooms have a private bathroom with bath or shower.

The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and my requests for dietary requirements were met. We had an evening meal which again was first class. The room was comfortable. If we booked again we would like a room with a bigger shower space.

Great location. Nicely decorated rooms. Really excellent breakfast. Also liked that it is owned by the YMCA and run as a charity, investing in giving apprenticeships to young people.

The Duke of Wellington Wetherspoon, hotel in Bossington

The Duke of Wellington Wetherspoon is offering accommodation in Minehead. With a shared lounge, the property also features a bar and free WiFi. The units in the hotel are equipped with a kettle.

Exceptional value for money, for a double room at £76 a night, especially over a Bank Holiday weekend, when the West Somerset Railway is hosting its hugely popular steam gala. My room was spacious and reasonably well equipped, with tea and coffee in the room. Quiet too, despite being over a busy pub. Being able to just go downstairs to a restaurant for dinner or breakfast was great too, after walking miles all day! My room had an ensuite shower and bath, with plenty of hot water too. A comfortable bed and free wifi completed the picture. Key card entry to both the rooms and the access corridor was nice to see.

What a fantastic few days! Izzy and Peter are brilliant hosts; funny, charming and great company! The house is in a perfect spot, it’s peaceful with gorgeous views and plenty of parking. We had a really comfortable room and bed and slept so well, then woke up to the most delicious breakfast. There’s a guest lounge with a bar, pool table, darts and various games. Everything you could ever want from an escape away and great value for money. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful views over Minehead and the sea. Fantastic garden, very well maintained. All appliances worked. Bed very comfortable. Useful to have extra comfortable seating in our bedroom, so it could function as a second lounge when the other person watching tv. Owner was very pleasant and told us about the interesting history of Elgin Tower. The flat itself was full of character.

All of the details from you were correct.

All of the details from you were correct. Hosts were friendly and helpful rooms are comfortable and spacious . You do not detail that the hosts will provide an evening meal if pre ordered. This could save a trip into Porlock to find a venue. If only staying overnight you would need to organise with the hosts before arriving as they need prior notice.

A peaceful hamlet, hidden away but accessible for Porlock and Minehead. Picture-postcard views, looking beautiful in the summer. pleasant local walks, in woodland and to the nearby coast. The lanes are narrow, with passing places, but not busy.

We went car free for a day and walked 10 miles to 3 different tea shops in Allerford, Selworthy and back to Bossington ( Kitnors) Beautiful scenery and amazing climb for views up to Hurlestone Point. Just a half hour walk from Porlock for food at night and a wonderful skyscape with a million stars!
