We had a wonderful stay in the most gorgeous room. Andrew the host was a very charming man, who was very knowledgeable about the local area and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Fantastic art work and decor. French press coffee in the room. Perfect.

The hotel, location, local scenery and roaring log fires...

The hotel, location, local scenery and roaring log fires were all superb. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Unfortunately we really don’t like “fine” dining and so couldn’t use the main restaurant. Dishes such as raw mackerel, eel or turnip are just not for us and I just wish they would put on a fillet steak and a fish dish for those that don’t like fine dining but do like eating in more upmarket, and more traditional, restaurants. Although there is a brasserie style restaurant it doesn't have the same ambience and we found ourselves eating out most nights.

The scenery is magnificent and historic towns are within easy reach. The Abbey itself was destroyed in Henry viii's time, but half of the church was rebuilt/restored in the 10th century. A lovely place to relax and dream.

It accommodated our three families (from 4 to 80 years old)very well. Lots of space to cook, eat, relax, play and sleep. Nice traditional house with many original (18th C ?) features, in a quiet location but with ready access to several of the Dales iconic locations (Malham,Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Cow & Calf Rocks to name a few). All the things we would need inc. two fridges, microwave, dishwasher, washing/drying machines

The loveliest cottage in the more beautiful location. Had everything we needed as a family with young children and was very cosy and comfortable. Really well equipped. The setting is stunning with beautiful gardens and we had a lovely time exploring the nearby Bolton Abbey and Dales.
