We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and would have been happy to extend it given the opportunity. The room was clean spacious and comfortable and given that they are built around the courtyard it felt as if we had our own patio outside.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and the food was well presented and delicious. The location in a peaceful country hamlet between Blandford and Wimbourne was perfect for a relaxing break and very dog friendly. An absolute gem.

Blandford Forum town centre is needing a bit of TLC like many English towns now.
Too many charity shops which is a sad reflection of local council management.
Wonderful town walk down to the river Stour though.
A few interesting restaurants would be an added attraction for all generations, as well.

Winterborne Houghton which is actually the village we stayed in. Blandford Forum is a 15 minute drive away. Houghton is a very pretty village with lovely gardens and houses. Lots of thatched properties. There is a fish farm which sells delicious fresh trout and Arctic charr. There is a pub which was very nice but we didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on the food. We walked to the pub, about a mile. Very friendly people.

It's a lovely town with a great museum, scenic river walks and nice cafes, restaurants and bars.
One thing to be aware of is that public transport is limited at weekends. There are no bus services to Shaftesbury or Salisbury or Yeovil on Saturdays and Sundays.

I am relocating back to Blandford (thru personal choice) so it can’t be too bad !
Few empty shops which is a shame, could do with a bit of upgrading of shops and facilities and I thought a cinema was in the pipeline, but no show yet!

The village of Kingston Zelston is very quiet and pretty, we were lucky enough to see a pair of geese by the river there with goslings. Although I didn't go into the church the outside is well kept looks as if it is well used.
We had a fantastic day at Monkey World and also an extremely enjoyable afternoon at Keyneston Mill Botanical Gardens & Bistro. Many other places of interest to visit, but sadly time didn't allow us to fit them in.
We will return there in the future.

The home is located on the edge of Blandford making it really easy to find it . Lidl Supermarket is only 2 minutes drive away . The house has Superfast WiFi, HD TV. It has everything you need i.e. pans and pots , knives , microwave , oven, washing machine, easy to use Central Heating, nice bathroom , a fairly large car park bay. It is only 40 minutes away from Durdle Door and Bournemouth. I would happily book it again in the near future.

Breakfast was good with options for both cooked or uncooked. We enjoyed our evening meals and the beer was good. This location is in a rural setting, but convenient for local towns and no problem if you have a car. We stayed for two nights and managed to visit Blandford Forum, Wimborne Minster and Kingston Lacy. The new owner made us feel very welcome.
Lovely venue full of character
We were very well looked after by the owner and her granddaughter who was like a breath of fresh air. So polite and efficient in her work.
Very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel is very clean nicely decorated and comfortable
Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious
We will definitely stay here again
Complimentary drink on arrival. The quality of food was excellent and the breakfasts were huge. A lovely touch was to be offered a bottle of tap water with our meal.
The staff were very attentive, chatty and helpful.
This hotel was above our expectations in many respects. We had a wonderful time.
This is a slightly old-fashioned hotel and I mean that as a compliment, not a criticism. It reflects the history and the character of the town in which it sits. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food was good and occasionally very good indeed.
the hotel is simply great, rooms are very roomy, clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. hotel is situated next to all the facilities you need
I must like it as I’ve stayed over 15 times
A beautiful property not far from Blandford Forum only made better by the lovely staff. We also stumbled across the Wednesday pub quiz night which was great fun. Breakfast was also very good indeed.
