Big, bustling town-centre hotel, with a long and interesting history. Had plenty of charm and was comfortable, if a little cramped in our room, which to be fair, was described as "cosy". Dinner and breakfast were very good. Had a great stay here.

We chose the B&B option and had some really good breakfasts at the venue. In town for a wedding and the front desk was great at directing us around and ordering a cab for us.
Lovely place , plenty of choice to eat and drink , great...
Lovely place , plenty of choice to eat and drink , great views from the wheel. Also , I would just like to correct myself , the name was Jackie who was front of house , not Julia , we had contact with Julia before arriving , whole gave a good belly laugh , the smoky negative I had from the staff was the on duty Manager , the rest of the staff were amazing

Beaumaris is a beautiful costal town.
Beaumaris is a beautiful costal town. It has panoramic views over the Menai Straits. There are plenty of eating options for every taste. The town has an artistic focus with many art outlets and gift shops. There are also opportunities to attend workshops. We dined at Bishopsgate hotel and The Liverpool hotel. Food at both establishments was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Lots of lovely walk from the town centre and a castle and jail house to visit. The town is very easy to walk around and there is ample parking space not too far from the town cwntre.

Lots of things to see in Beaumauris.
Lots of things to see in Beaumauris. The castle is worth a visit with views of the Menai straits. There is a large car park on the sea front at £6 for all day parking. There are free, clean public toilets in the centre of town. Lots of great shops and eating places. I took a boat trip around Puffin Island, there are a couple of companies doing these, it lasted 1 hour 20 minutes and well worth doing. The sea is a bit choppy around the island due to the water currents.

Booked hotel to take a morning boat trip to Puffin island, trip was cancelled due too bad weather, we later found out that the puffins were not there at that time of year, so check they are nesting before you go. Nice little town ok for a day visit.

There is so much to do in such a small and pretty village.
There is so much to do in such a small and pretty village. The castle is two minutes from the hotel which displays lots of historical information. Lots of independent shops are great for browsing and offer locally produced goods.
St. Mary and St. Nicholas church offers free entry and is a beautiful building with an information sheet offering more details on its history.
Beaumaris is a great place for a leisurely stroll with plenty to see and do.

beautifull welsh town with nice old cottages and buildings.
beautifull welsh town with nice old cottages and buildings. loads of local history including the Beaumaris castle. my favourite part is the Barron hill estate that I really love. the history behind it is amazing and not many people know its there. best pub for food is defiantly the George and dragon and the meals are good quality and get loads. one place to avoid in my opinion is the ye old bull. no staff and there rude in there plus overpriced.
The hotel is brilliantly located on the main street in Beaumaris. There is a small car park at the back. The welcome was warm. The room appeared recently refurbished and updated, it was, clean and had a great comfortable 6ft bed. There was plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries.
We ate in the bar which served good quality pub food and there was a great choice at breakfast which prided itself on local food. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
We were well impressed with this characterful hotel. The room was a good size and very comfortable. An ample breakfast was included in the reasonable overall price. We also had an excellent evening meal with good quality wine. Staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is located on the Main Street with private parking. We will definitely return to this hotel when in lovely Anglesey again.
Everything was most enjoyable about our stay. The food in the restaurant was delicious, especially the scallops starter and the hake main course. The hotel was old and interesting but with a modern twist. Finally, all the staff were most welcoming and professional. I'd like to praise whoever had trained the restaurant staff, who were mostly quite young but who were efficient, polite and knew their job.
Charming atmosphere above 500 year old pub. Room OK, parking is close but somewhat difficult to navigate to and is not well marked from front of hotel. We literally found it by accident. Food was average, as was the wait service. Overall, it was an interesting experience which I enjoyed. Would I stay there again, now that I have once? Probably not.
The views from the property are absolutely lovely and the location is superb - there's so much to see in the area and things to do for everyone. I recommend driving round the coast of the whole island and there are some truly spectacular beaches with mountain views. Also the Bulkeley Hotel does a nice dinner service and is a 1 min walk away.
Excellent service particularly at breakfast and good range and quality of options for continential breakfast which was included in the price. Parking not available at hotel but within very short walk away. Great location within Beaumaris - next to castle and quiet location but within very short walk to restaurants and pubs.
A wonderful little hotel in a central location. Good parking facilities, really friendly staff, very tasty and freshly cooked breakfast, beautiful sea view from room 9, lovely additional touches in the room (lindt chocolate and sherry), clean, comfortable and well equipped room. What more can I say? It was a fantastic find!
It was beautifully decorated and really peaceful. Our host could not do more for us accommodating an extra bed for our daughter. The apartment was beyond spotless and the kitchen was one of the best equipped self catering ones I have ever used. We will look to book again if we come back to Anglesey.
Loved the history behind the hotel...Charles Dickens stayed there too...how come no Blue plaque? Only about 200 yards from the castle! Rooms were well kept, staff were excellent and food and drinks were great! Always wanted to stay in Beaumaris and The Bull didn't disappoint...many thanks 🙂
Located in heart of Beaumaris, walking distance to main attractions of the castle and pier.
Spacious room with good amenities (fridge, kettle, tea, biscuits, welshcakes).
Dogs welcomed with a dog bed provided.
Location was excellent and a great base for the rest of Anglesey and as the property was on the front it had easy access into Beaumaris. We had a very pleasent stay.
Fantastic location. Across from the castle and only a couple of minutes walk to seafront Shops right on the doorstep
Kitchen & upstairs bedrooms well appointed
