We love staying at Bartley Lodge as it’s a small cosy hotel with great staff and very well located for the New Forest. Dinner quality was great. Breakfast is lovely but could have a bit more variety.

Staff, in particular Jake, friendly and very efficient. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were nice and comfortable. Slept like a log. Cooked breakfast was lovely-the mushroom in particular cooked and seasoned to perfection. Hotel is in an excellent position on the main street in Lyndhurst.

Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest...
Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest with horses and cows that can roam free and to see deers and there fawns if you are lucky a local shop and post office we ate in the Haywaire The food wasn't great so I wouldn't recommend it close to lyndhurst shops and Bartley is great to walk around and to explore and take in the breath taken views
Food and room were excellent, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean hotel with lovely outside patio area where we could eat our breakfast. The hotel couldn't have been in a better place, quiet and secluded, but not difficult to find. Fantastic woodland walks straight from the back of the property, with wild ponies grazing within a few minutes walk. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and breakfast service and evening bar was quick and efficient.
The hotel is in a lovely location and in easy walk of the new forest. Being a dog friendly hotel was such a great bonus as we could bring our dog to dinner and then take a walk through the gardens into the forest.
Amazing location onward the New Forest, beautiful area. The hotel staff were lovely, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and they were all superb. The room was a great size and the bed was comfy
The staff were lovely and there was good, friendly atmosphere. I am coeliac and was well looked after. The location is beautiful and very quiet. I really can't fault this hotel.
Beautiful location, tranquil setting. Lots of lovely walks nearby. You can walk right out of the hotel garden into to new forest. The hotel is a very picturesque old building.
The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a rural location and was very peaceful - no traffic noise.
