We felt pampered with luxurious soft furnishings and treats. Processo, chocolates and fruit in the room on arrival was very welcoming. A luxury coffee maker in the room made a nice change. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Peaceful nights sleep in the countryside.
Marilyn our host was like your best friend from the start, so warm and friendly making us feel relaxed and very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and she exceeded in making our stay special.
The breakfasts were superb. Very generous with plenty of choices and cooked perfectly.

Feughside is a lovely place to stay, stunning scenery and very peaceful.
Breakfast was very good and it will set you up for the rest of the day.
You would not be disappointed staying here.
We hope to stay there sometime again in the future.
With a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Dee, this charming Scottish mansion dates back to 1225 AD, and was once home to the Knights Templar.

Lots of places to walk, along the river bank, up the hillside to the tower, or just around the towns.
Plenty of variety of places to eat or shop.
Easy to move around and visit local sights, except when there is a big storm which tends to flood some of the roads, so I would avoid them if it is possible at all to do that?

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out on the Friday evening, Italian Mama Mias in Banchory was great fun, upbeat, great staff and food. We had booked the hotel for Friday evening as a bolt hole stop prior to attending a family wedding on the Saturday. We had also contacted local hair dressers Riah Hair long before arriving. The staff at that salon were lovely on all counts, with great intentions BUT I would not recommend them for wedding guest hair styling. My hair clips fell out within a few hours and my daughters curls that took an hour to set, dropped within the first hour of leaving the salon despite copious amounts of awful hairspray being applied. :(

I love a stay at Banchory even if just for two nights. You feel that you are away and can relax. recharge the batteries so to speak. the view of the river just makes it that bit better. Glass of wine in the bar reading my book before dinner is a bonus.

Banchory is a lovely town in a beautiful setting next to the River Dee. There are plenty of interesting shops to explore and some great places for eating and drinking. It's also a perfect base for exploring Royal Deeside and Aberdeenshire.
Location was easy to find, very close to centre of Banchory but snug away to make it feel excluded and quiet. 30 minutes from the centre of Aberdeen. Gorgeous views of the river from hotel room. Quirky parts of the building gave the hotel great personality.
The staff were fantastic. Especially those working in the bar and restaurant. The food was lovely and had value for money.
The room was clean. Included loads of tea and coffee of all types and included a coffee filter and tea pot. Included soaps and shampoos which smelt lovely.
The house was gorgeous, and provided great accommodation. There was a prosecco waiting with a fresh fruit bowl and some chocolate/lollies. Breakfast was the best ever. Cereals to fresh fruit to dry marinated fruit. Toast with any number of different jams, honey etc. A coffee machine with a range of different coffee types. Muesli bars. Juices. Large rooms with great outlooks. Well appointed bathroom with facial masks, great fluffy dressing gowns and nice toiletries. Overall great place only about 10 minutes out from banchory.
There was the option of a full cooked breakfast but we chose the uncooked choices which were comprehensive and excellent. On 3 nights we had a 3 course evening meal which were all very good from a wide menu, selection to be made by 2pm on the same day. The room was very comfortable with all the facilities one could possibly need. The ensuite bathroom was particularly impressive. Marilyn and Mum were great hosts, fun and nothing was too much trouble.
Brilliant base for attending a wedding at Banchory Lodge. Less than a 10 minute drive from town, easy to find. Peaceful surroundings, lovely outside seating area. Was a nice surprise to arrive to fresh milk, teabags, coffee and sugar.
We were incredibly thankful to be able to check in much earlier than stated after a long drive from Yorkshire.
Great location and property for short / medium stay in Banchory. Property has modern decoration, is very well appointed with comfortable studio style accommodation and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom /shower facilities. Offers great alternative to a hotel stay. Will use the property again and would highly recommend to others.
Fantastic twin room looking out from an elevated position over Banchory & the hills beyond (including Scolty). Hotel was originally built for the Provost of Banchory in c. 1900. Superb bar and function room with very friendly staff from the bars, manager and breakfast staff. Very reasonably priced for rooms, food and drink.
This was an ideal location for us attending a wedding at nearby Raemoir House Hotel. It is also an excellent location for a base to visit Royal Deeside and the Eastern Cairngorms.
The property is well appointed with 3 large bedrooms and a new bathroom
Excellent Scottish breakfast, freindly hlepful staff and the bonus of The Bothy for separate private dining. Wonderfully comfortable bed and plenty of space. Set in its own grounds within walking distance of Banchory town centre.
Great location in the centre of Banchory. Very clean and comfortable room, good WiFi and comfy bed. Pleasant helpful staff, who on asking if I could leave my luggage checked me in early as my room was ready.
Lovely self-contained studio apartment in a large property-was really clean, comfortable and had everything that I needed. The owner was flexible and approachable, and very informative about the area.
It was perfect for us for a nice quiet break with our dog breakfast was excellent and hosts are very friendly and helpful great walk in woods nearby and only 15 drive to Banchory
Really comfortable apartment. Perfectly placed fir banchory, aberdeen, Ballater and beyond. There is plenty of room for a family of 4 with good sized bedrooms and 2 showers.
