Breakfast was excellent. Everything needed was there.mthe food was excellent and superbly presented. The chef should be congratulated. We had sandwiches lunchtime and the way the food was presented was second to none. The sandwiches were excellent with a twist. So no complaints with the food at all. Would visit the hotel just for the food. Also must give thanks to Alex who seemed to do everything in the hotel, behind the bar, serving lunchtime food and breakfasts. He was very helpful and sociable.
Regarding the room which was ideal was a chalet type room and very comfortable. The only complaint I would make is for the pillows to be replaced as they were very uncomfortable and flat.

Friendly, welcoming tenants (a cheerful, helpful couple) and regulars. Lovely warm (from wood fire) bar with all ales well kept, music not too loud. Food, both evening meals and full English breakfast for me, vegetarian for my wife, was very well cooked, tasty and generous quantities. Bedroom very nice, comfortable and clean.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel is set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restaurant serves dishes made using local recipes and produce, and the bar serves real ales.

The finish to a high standard. Equipment in galley kitchen good quality. Milk in fridge a nice touch
The shower powerful and refreshing
The ‘chamber maid’ friendly and accommodating in fact a treasure.

The hotel was comfortable and homely & within easy walking distance of The Falls, the reason we chose it.
The staff, particularly the afternoon/ evening ones, were very friendly and helpful. We were able to book our preferred seats for our evening meal.
Lots of choices on the evening menu, all very generous portions. We would have liked more simple options for breakfast, fruit, creamy, not pouring, yoghurt

Great location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, but noise issues at night from main road for bedrooms at the front of the building.
Hotel otherwise comfortable and attractive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good. Definitely worth a visit.

Our visit was really spoilt by the weather.
Our visit was really spoilt by the weather. Howling gales and driving rain. This was at the beginning of October. In better weather this would be a great place to stay. Very close to the falls and a short drive to Bolton Castle, which is certainly worth a visit. They have wild boar there as well.

Aysgarth Falls hotel was a good choice for our northern dales trip. Be warned that if you want to see the famous Aysgarth Falls then it is a steep walk down the road from the hotel. Might be better for the less mobile to drive to the Dales National Park centre and walk from there.

Hosts were lovely, clean modern property, everything you could need for a relaxing stay. And what views.! Everything was just perfect.! Thank you Heather & Steve, we will be back to see you again soon, and stay at your lovely property.
Graeme & Leeanne.
Fantastic location with amazing views. It was a short walk to Aysgarth Falls and about 15 mins to the village. The rooms are comfortable and stylish with some interesting pieces of art.
The breakfast was lovely with a good range to choose from and made from high quality ingredients.
There was a self service bar and the host made some very nice cocktails for us. It was a good atmosphere and nice to be able to speak to some of the other guest should you choose to do so.
Breakfast good. Location good. Ate dinner there - fine. Comfortable.
Difficulty booking it with the App. This was Booking.com's fault, it was much more difficult to use than a computer. Booking have difficulty (App and online) distinguishing between room capacity and number of guests. We wanted 2 rooms, 1 each for only 2 adults. It said we wanted 2 rooms with 2 people total 4 guests. We rang hotel to confirm our requirements - hotel staff dealt well with this.
Peaceful, plenty of walks albeit with no water at the falls!, stunning countryside and a big country house owned by folks who decided to do b&b with a truly personal service rather than turn their home into an hotel. Cracking work they’ve done on the place, loved the story about getting a carpenter to whittle some oak egg and dart moulding for restorations in the dining room - attention to detail like that is what makes this place so special.
A beautiful stay from start to finish. Our host Claire was extremely welcoming, friendly and could not have been any more helpful. The property was immaculately presented, stylish and modern. The breakfast was delicious and Claire’s recommendation for evening meal food was excellent. Location was excellent beautiful walks in every direction and 10 mins walk to Aysgarth Falls. 😊
Amazing location, wonderful hosts and exceptional cottage. What more do you need! The cottage has everything you want and more with beautiful views from every room!! The local shop has all the essentials too. Spoilt for choice with walks, then to top it off the outstanding mill race tea shop is just down the road. Aysgarth is one of our favourite places to visit.
Friendly and exceptional service from the staff,
comfortable bedroom, food was excellent, probably the best breakfast i have ever had,
Dinner was great also, i had Liver which was tasty, a dish that can so easily be 'got wrong'
My wife had Sea bass , which again was so tasty, I'll be back to the area soon, The George and Dragon being the main draw
The location, fresh baked cookies in the room, bottled water and milk in cool bottles for the room, fresh local produce for breakfast, pub across the road recommended for food, it was superb. Short distance walk to Aysgarth falls. Immaculate and clean. Wasn’t rushed at breakfast, the owners chatted to us, we found out all the property, lovely couple.
We had a wonderful stay. Jayson is very kind, friendly, and helpful. The B&B is well located, with Aysgarth falls within walking distance, a direct bus to Hawes, and a ~1h drive from Malham Cove. A hearty breakfast, perfect for hiking days! Will definitely stay there again when we come back to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Fabulous breakfast but although a great menu, dinner was a bit disappointing.
Good location and nice 5 km round trip walking to the Aysgarth Falls
Fantastic Sat night pub atmosphere with real local characters, in this 17 century old coaching house with lots of atmosphere - also in the adjacent dining room.
The views. The location is great for walkers - you have a 360-degree choice of walks. Obviously very close to the famous falls but lots of other attractions nearby such as Bolton Castle. The Aysgarth Fall Inn is your neighbour but is not noisy at all. Very comfortable.
Amazing setting and very helpful staff. Breakfast was brilliant and plentiful. The only (very little!) downside was that we could've done with a bed without a 'foot-board' as my partner is quite tall, but all in all, we would definitely recommend Aysgarth Fall Hotel!
from the lovely warm welcome from Sarah - i couldnt have wished for a more perfect stay. Location is just idyllic, a short walk to Aysgarth Falls and what a breakfast, it makes my mouth water even now ! A Perfect place, quiet and sooo picturesque !
Great one night stopover in Aysgarth. About 1/2 a mile from the river/falls. A brisk 3 mile stroll over to the castle and some good scenery. Bit damp (early Septemeber) but great views from the hillside.
Quaint cottage clean tidy well equipped. Location perfection facing the top falls. Peaceful and quite accept for the rumble of rushing water of aysgarth falls. A stay to remember
A brand new, beautiful little cabin with a hillside view. A great place to stay if you want to visit Yorkshire Dales National park.
I really enjoyed it here!
