A warm welcome from David on arrival, who showed me to my room and was kind enough to send some recommendations to local restaurants and cafes. The garden is beautifully kept and I enjoyed an hour in the sun there. It is so much more than just a room. The rooms are stylishly put together, my bed was comfortable with deliciously soft bedding and the en suite was impressive - powerful hot rainfall shower, bathroom essentials not in plastic bottles but ceramic shower pumps, and heated towel rack. There is also a lovely living room, with space to relax and work, as well as a dining room. I felt that Jane and David had thought of everything and care about their guest’s stay.

We were very happy with the whole stay, the staff were great and not over the top, the room was cosy, clean comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was also good. Even the room maid we saw on leaving was bright and breezy with a smile and a good morning.
