An Evening meal was served to a large party during a busy night for the hotel. The food was served hot and well presented all together. There was no issue with any meal. This indicates an organised and well run kitchen and service team. The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms are mostly ground floor with parking directly outside French Doors. They are clean and the bathroom facilities are good. Handy for the heritage steam train and local sights such as Beamish. Would like to thank the staff for a nice stay.

Bedroom was finished to a very high standard, very comfortable beds and a very relaxed feel. Lovely add on with some sloe gin and posh nuts. Great surprise ! Breakfast tasty.
