The warm welcome was a lovely start to our 2 night stay here. All the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us; just how hotel service should be, with a special mention to Madison who we saw most often - a credit to the team!
Our room (101) provided all we needed. The bed and bedding were comfortable, clean and soft (pillowcases & duvet cover were very nice). No view as such but as we were out most of the time during our stay that didn't matter.
The breakfast choices were good - we enjoyed a full Scottish on the first morning (excellent 👌🏼) and a really delicious cheese and ham 3 egg omelette on the second morning.
The hotel location was just right for us - being central for the things we wanted to walk to (Solway Spirits, Annandale Distillery and Lonsdale Cinema) whilst exploring Annan town and surrounding areas on foot.
Situated on the High Street of Annan town centre, Queensberry Arms Hotel features free on-site parking and is within a minute’s walk of local amenities such as shops and bars.

The Old Rectory is a 19th century bed and breakfast building set in the heart of Annan. It is built with the distinctive red sandstone, local to the area. There is free parking near by and free Wi-Fi....

We had a lovely stay. A very reasonable price. A great, comfy room with everything we needed. It was a really nice travel cot (with a good mattress!) for our 1 year old and the single bed was great for our 3 year old. A delicious breakfast that we all enjoyed (children and vegetarian included!) great facilities and a friendly, helpful host.

Beautiful location. Grounds are so cute and very much cater for wedding photos.
Rooms are motel style and comfortable and adequate size for short stay. Very quiet and quaint about 1 and half miles from village of Kirkpatrick-Fleming.Beds comfortable and plenty of very, very hot water.
Breakfast was OK.
Bar and restaurant were lovely. Staff were exceptional, so friendly, helpful and professional. Food was delicious and plentiful.
Barman was super friendly made us feel very welcome.

Annan is a small town but has lovely scenery and a good walking area by the river. It's great if you use it as a base to go to Gretna and Carlisle both accessible by train. The station is only about a 6 minute walk to the town centre. Cafe Royal make an amazing fish n chips dinner, portions are huge. I don't play golf but saw a sign for a golf course. Also a sign for a distillery. Annan oozes with friendliness. I will definitely be going again.

A mixture of 17 Th Century red sandstone buildings with a wide Main Street indicating an old market town. Many buildings had references to Robert Burns. It’s got a harbour and lots of “old fashioned “ individual businesses. Worth at least a day on its own or 2 to 3 as a base if you want to explore Dumfries and Galloway !

A nice place to stay for one or two nights. In this small town you can get a really good fisk and chips.
You can have a great evening at the local pub and have a chat with the locals.
There are two places worth visiting if you enjoy drinking alcohol. Annandale destillery. Very nice place to take the tour and the local gin destillery.

Nice riverside walks. Powfoot close by for seaside walks.
Nice riverside walks. Powfoot close by for seaside walks.
Only a few shops in the main street. Due to covid, lots of empty buildings.
A few eating places.
The Bluebell inn is a nice, quiet and friendly pub, worth a visit.
The corner house hotel where we stayed serve snacks at lunchtime, which are very nice and reasonable in price.
Perfect for the start of our cycling tour. After a warm welcome our bikes were stored in a locked room downstairs. Our twin bedroom was clean and comfortable with a view over the main street. The bar on the first floor was bright and airy. We had a good night's sleep followed by a good breakfast served by friendly staff. The hotel is fairly basic but is clean, comfortable and excellent value for money with first class staff.
Fantastic hotel, room was lovely with a large bathroom, comfy bed, nice furnishings, overlooking the water.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Dinner was really good with plenty of different dishes to choose from. Breakfast was also great, and plentiful.
Would definitely recommend the Powfoot to anyone wanting a perfect quiet get-away.
Just wish we could have stayed for more than one night!
What a perfect little gem in Annan - an amazing host, lovely room, great shower! So very clean.
Even though was not a bnb, they do offer lovely fresh coffee, and toast with lovely jam and butter - so it is included really!
Hostess simply lovely. Felt safe, sound and more than comfortable :)
.Great welcome from Dave..just a lovely little B&B in lovely Annan. Owner allowed me to store my bike safely inside the property and provided a hearty gluten free breakfast
Room was clean, spacious and a good temperature with a super comfy bed.

I liked how the staff were so friendly and all the hotel was extremely clean we had the suite room which over looked the main high street the room was extremely spacious and clean, there were a lot of towels on offer the bed was extremely comfy and we got exactly what we paid for
Very nice hotel and the restaurant was a revelation. The food was not only superb but was a long way from the usual hotel fare and was very reasonably priced. Breakfast once again was excellent, a good variety of dishes all well cooked
the hotel exceeded my expectations a pleasant bar .excellent room and fabulous breakfast paul and his wife have a gem of a hotel in the centre of annan an ideal base for touring dumfries and gallowayy
Very nice hotel located in the very center of a nice little town with easy free parking. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Property is very nice and cozy in a historical building.
Home from Home, everything we needed. We stayed as we where playing golf golf at Powfoot Golf Club. Nice and quiet and not to far from Annan Town Center. Would definitely stay again.!
The welcome from the staff. So friendly.
The hotel seems to be trying hard to modernise , hope they have ever success.
Delighted with our stay, will return. Highly recommend.
