Everything! From the moment we turned up the owner and her chef were so welcoming. The outside space is very well kept , it was lovely having drinks outside. The room was a great size, very clean with everything you need. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. It was a refreshing change that the food was piping hot , which nowadays where ever you go always just seems slightly warm. So it made it exceptional! We also had our evening meal here and again the food was great . We would definitely recommend.

Alford is a useful central point for the area.

Alford is a useful central point for the area. It's quite a pretty village but has definitely seen better days. Very few paces to eat and even the ones that were open, it was hit and miss if they were serving food on the day you wanted it. Granted it may be better during school holiday and peak times. The manor house tea rooms is good.

A well presented and very clean property which is managed by a lovely couple that made you feel at home. Alford is a quiet market town so if you want huddle and bustle and a night life this may not be for you. The owners can tell you the best places to eat.

    Family run.

Family run. Proprietors were Excellent and staff looked after you well in all area’s. Plenty of parking with outside seating also has separate outdoor covered smoking facilities. There is only evening meals but excellent midday meals in the garden centre’s in woodthorpe and just on the other side of Mumby. Alford is has a Very narrow road when there are parked vehicles but easy to walk around. Good little Restaurant just up from the hotel but closes by 13:00 hrs. It is within close distance to the coast line.

Small village, quaint shops, lovely Anglican Church which is open to the public all day to look around and Sunday service. Very friendly people. Easy to access to the Lincolnshire coast of Skegness, Mablethorpe, Ingoldmells ,Chapel St Leonards and Sutton on sea.

Alford is an easy drive from the market towns of Horncastle and Louth, both worth exploring for individual shops. The coast at Chapel St Leonards is wonderful, with long walks possible along the coast and a string of nature reserves along the dunes. Specially recommend the North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point which has amazing views and excellent food in the Seascape cafe. A particular gem only a few miles from Alford is Claythorpe Water mill where you can feed ducks, geese and brown trout in the mill race, and children can get up close with goats and rabbits. Also serves good food.

It's in a quiet and secluded area but not to far from shops and beaches. It was emaculately clean, very homely and welcoming with off road parking and a private hot tub which was incredible. Extremely comfy bed and big shower. This cottage has everything you could need for a short or long stay. Owners were very friendly and had left a bottle of wine, cookies, tea and coffee to welcome us and even provided hotel style toiletries. They really had thought of everything.

We loved this beautiful dog friendly cottage. It’s in a lovely little town called Alford which has a bakery, a couple of pubs, fish and chip shops and a cute little craft market. There are regular busses to Mablethorpe, Skegness etc. Our dog enjoyed running up and down the sizeable garden. It had everything we needed included and we had a great staying. We will definitely return next year!

We were visiting Alford for a funeral at the nearby crematorium, and this was an ideal and very central location for us. There's parking to the side and our well-appointed room was spacious, clean, tidy and warm, everything we could ask for. For breakfast we had a beautifully presented 'full English' with my favourite Lincolnshire sausages! Recommended.

Pillows and tea/ sugar / biscuits provided were good. Spacious car park was good and hotel in good central village location. Nice to see the good old bible in the bedside table. Tv was good size but could have been a touch higher. Meal at restaurant was good, staff friendly.

The breakfast was great and plentiful. Our hosts were amazing. It was unseasonably warm and when we asked about fans, they immediately supplied them. They were also very informative about the area. Alford is off the beaten path - which is what we loved the most.

Great location on the edge of Alford. The Apple Loft had everything we needed. Having milk in the fridge on arrival and cookies in the tea and coffee box was a lovely welcome. It was easy to check in. It was more spacious than I thought it would be.
