Lovely breakfast - full English was served and there was a choice of some cereals too. The room was clearly recently refurnished and was lovely and the bathroom was really nice. Bed was a double and the mattress a little too soft but that's personal choice. Lovely place, full of character.

Kings Court Hotel, hotel in Alcester

Set in beautiful gardens, this 16th-century Tudor farmhouse offers charming en suite rooms, some with discounted rates. Stratford-upon-Avon is just 9.6 km away.

The staff were very helpful, and the cleaner was superb - we left a mess every morning and she always left it immaculate, ignoring small change and any 'tempting' items. She even had a smile for us when we met. Graham said the Breakfast Staff were equally helpful - he had to bring a tray to me each morning, as I am slightly disabled. There was a lovely shower in a large bathroom, and ample fluffy towels - much appreciated.

Karma Salford Hall Hotel, hotel in Alcester

Nestled amid tranquil gardens, this romantic Tudor manor is ideally located in Shakespeare country, within easy reach of Henley-in-Arden, historic Kenilworth, Warwick Castle and the Cotswolds Origina...

A lovely hotel that is very dog-friendly and serves excellent food. Our only issue with our stay was that the meal service was extremely slow. We were sitting in the Conservatory as we had our dog with us. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the service was slow. Perhaps this was because it was a Sunday evening? Other than this we had a very pleasant time.

The Green Dragon Inn, hotel in Alcester

Boasting a garden, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The Green Dragon Inn is situated in Redditch, 2.9 km from Coughton Court and 20 km from Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The room was very good value for money. The mattress was firm, in case folk have a preference, was fine for us. Staff very friendly and the food (dinner and breakfast) very nice indeed. Plenty of parking. I should have checked the check-in time. Not the property's fault. Probably best to let them know expected arrival time.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a lovely ambience with a place to sit both before and after the meal. I was disappointed to find no information in the room relating to wifi or breakfast times. Consequently we were late for breakfast but we were still served. There was a music duo playing which apparently happens once a fortnight on a Friday. I would definitely reccomend this place.

historical town, with plenty of pubs,we enjoyed one meal at the turks head which was really good, and another at the macdonalds just out of town.Appeared to be a good range of shops in the centre with much bigger shops out of town.We stayed to visit friends in the area and as a base for coach trip to cheltenham races.

    Alcester is lovely.

Alcester is lovely. I used to live there, and it was lovely to go back - good pubs, some restaurant options and good pub-food options. Great location to explore South Warwickshire/North Cotswolds/North Worcestershire. The Moat House, Turks Head and, a little further afield in Great Alne, the recently re-opened Mother Huff Cap offer good food options. Panache 50 offers good Indian dining, and Amore Italian offers lovely food (try the huge calzone!). Good coffee shops/tea rooms.

Everything about our stay was fabulous. The friendly staff, a beautiful clean, modern room, with an excellent bathroom with walk-in shower. Also the room had a lovely outside terrace. One of the nicest hotel rooms we have had the pleasure in staying in. Our evening meal was truly delightful, very courteous staff and very professional, with the added bonus of watching the Swans outside the dining room, while we ate. The whole ambience of this Hotel is perfect.

Delightful, very helpful and responsive hosts. Great location, not far from Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswolds (but do check out nearby Alcester, with its Roman heritage). Bijou by name and Bijou by nature, this is a cosy home-from-home. Susie and Roger have provided everything that you might need for a peaceful break.

Charming coach house - modern, well furnished and very clean. Lovely location being a short walk from the centre of Alcester and yet felt very secluded and peaceful. A good base for exploring Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and northern Cotswolds (plus various stately homes such as Ragley and Hanbury).

It is a hotel with very friendly staff in a nice location a couple of miles into the countryside north of Alcester. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. There's a convenient back door to which one is given a key so the rooms can be reached when the restaurant is closed.

Everything from check in to check out was excellent. Super friendly professional staff. Comfortable spacious rooms. We dined in the hotel restaurant which was also very good. Considering they were very busy with large dining parties the service we received was second to none.

Dinner was a choice from a varied menu which had something to suit all tastes. I would recommend the lamb curry. Breakfast was full English but you could vary which items you wanted. Tea and coffee were plentiful. Service was very friendly and helpful.
