Jardin Massey is beautiful, museum of the Hussards attached.
Jardin Massey is beautiful, museum of the Hussards attached. The markets are still large, lively and varied. Concerts and themed weeks such as Tango or horse festivals makes it an interesting destination.
There are parts of Tarbes more attractive than others so plan your trip!

The garden is quite extraordinary...
The garden is quite extraordinary... In contrast with a very bleak city. Good only because it's quite close to some interesting spots in the mountains and far enugh to avoid premium touristic fares. We found an awesome small restaurant though (and I'm french myself from the countryside - I actually know what genuinely good food is like!). No longer have its name sorry.
Very good facilities, secure garage nearby, rear entrace to property, very comfortable bed, lots of nice touches in the very clean room (eg good quality monogrammed towels in bathroom) and hotel (eg chess set and piano in comfortable lounge area). Good breakfast (maybe the apricots were straight from the tree in the courtyard?) Location perfect for town centre stroll to look round and for restraunts. Good recommendations from monsieur for restaurants. Good place to stop on way to the Pyrenees.
Lovely apartment in the center of Tarbes. Concierge Hugo was extremely kind enough to wait for us to check in at midnight.
We had a problem arriving and we were more than 4 hours late from what we had agreed on. The kitchen is well equipped.
Spacious apartment with very good views.
You can easily find a parking space.
I highly recommend the apartment and we will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Tarbes.
This was an absolutely lovely place to stay in Tarbes. Don't let the street side location deter you. I had a suite of rooms that were all pleasantly decorated and comfortable. Christine, the hostess was so very pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful. And although the weather was not nice enough to enjoy eating in the garden, the dining room setting was wonderful.
Entireley renewed room with modern decoration. Very comfortable bed. Great bath.
They offered to keep my bike in the patio and even offered a lock for my peace of mind.
Perfect location. Walking distance from downtown and train station. Safe neighborhood.
We found free parking spaces in the street next to hotel both nights.
The balcony that went all along the whole side was great. My toddler had fun with that. The new and equipped bathroom and kitchen. Great, central location close to the center of Tarbes and to the beautiful Jardín Massey. It was quiet - no noise from traffic or people from the street and free street parking spaces outside.
Staff speak English and cordial, room was nice, clean, and quiet, good European type breakfast (no meat, just egg offered), good location, near restaurant, cafe, and bar, and just a quick walk to Tarbes train station connecting to Lourdes and other major cities in France such as Bayonne or Toulouse.
I needed an affordable place close to the town centre and close to the university (ENIT) and this place was right in the middle, so walking distance to both. The apartment is on the roof with a terrace and view of the Pyrenees so this was nice.
Great apartment with an amazing view of the Pyrenees on one side and Haras de Tarbes horse school on the other.
Parking could be found in various streets around the apartment.
Well equipped kitchen and shower room.
Excellent breakfast. I am a big fan of Ibis budget all over the world. The only thing someone might want to check is whether or not there is going to be a lot of noise from a /music/festival space fairly close by.
We came for a tennis tournament and we stayed 10 days in Tarbes! We felt very good there! The apartment is big and very nice! Well equipped and the staff was very friendly! Thank you … we will come back for sure!
This is a very stylish modern hotel in a busy district. Near plenty of restaurants and cafes, middle of town.
Room was quite large with a glassed-in bathroom. Friendly staff. Nice bar. High-quality place.
The staff was super friendly, they welcomed us and where great help in guiding and helping us out. It is a simple hotel, but good location for those who are passing by in the region.
Cute and more modern. Nice and clean. Friendly host. Walkable to restaurants, etc.
There was a high speed train behind the hotel, but it didn’t seem to bother us.
Close to the town centre Also Visiting Lourds was east travel from the Hotel. If you vist Lourds look out for the Free Parking along the lefthand side of the River
