A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Our room had doors out to a patio and the garden - great to sit out and to be able to take the dog out early morning. The bed was comfy, the shower was good, and there was a hairdryer. Easy parking, near to our room. A good location near Niort on our travels back from Portugal. We had a very good meal in the adjoining restaurant - beautifully presented and very tasty. We had the three course set menu which was too much for us but still lovely. We didn't have breakfast as too full from the night before.

Such a beautiful property. We arrived late which was no problem. Cyril was very nice and kind. Breakfast was great. Our only issue was that we were travelling through and didn't get to stay long. We would definitely stay again only longer

There was only a takeaway pizza shop in the village for dinner (& it was a Sunday night) but we were able to eat the pizzas with a bottle of wine bought from the same shop in the delightful sheltered space outside the Venise Verte and use the provided cutlery and glasses from the little shared kitchen
