Nice little town with a Super U supermarket in town and...
Nice little town with a Super U supermarket in town and Intermarche just outside. Market on Saturday morning and lots of shops and cafes (although not a lot was open - may be because we went late in the season.

Long bumpy single lane farm track to reach property. Accommodation is a farm situated on mountainside with nice views, but rooms are in need of upgrading as furnishings are rather tired. Hosts very welcoming. Most food is produced & processed on the farm. Being a farm - there are lots & lots of flies everywhere.

It's a small industrial town that sits in the Valley of Silver (Val d'Argent) right in the middle of the Vosges mountains. It's well located if you want to explore the mountains, but the wine road is also 30 min away. There are not a lot of good restaurants, unfortunately, so you will often find yourself leaving town for meals.

They were the most hospitable hotel owners I have encountered in my life, everything incredibly clean, large room and bathroom and great breakfast. Our dog ran freely in the garden and had fun with the owner's dogs. Thank you very much for everything!
