Unfortunately Rauzan was just an overnight stop for us, but driving through the area, the roads are very good, the views amazing, acres and acres of immaculately trimmed vineyards. Would be a great place to explore and discover more about the wine production.SteveUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

The room was excellent, tastefully decorated, ours was on the ground floor and pleasantly cool without the need for air con. The hosts were very likeable people, including their daughter who also helped. The guy (sorry forgot name!) ran the place and was so laid back and did everything in his stride so easily! He is an excellent chef so DO EAT THERE. If you are arriving late and don't want to go out looking for a meal tell him when you book that you wish to eat, as he likes notice. The swimming pool was a welcome addition after a hot day and had good shade. It is not far too St. Emilion, which is a must visit, so a good quiet base to stay and if we were to return to the area we would definitely stay here again! If you want to visit some vineyards, check online before hand as most like you to pre book rather than just turn up, especially on the weekend. The ones in St. Emilion we visited were not very good you wandered around with no guide or information.
