Really lovely hosts, fantastic location, quiet, beautiful scenery, spot on breakfast shared with French holidaymakers who were great company.Offer of the swimming pool but declined as no costumes. Take some wine as very rural. No television but I had my lap top and dvd. Great.

Nice clean room with decent facilities, Good breakfast. Dogs welcome and close to dog walking around lake. Close to a couple of nice restaurants and other shopping. Suited us great for an overnight stay on way south.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent value for money with evening meal, bed and breakfast for one person at 45 eu. They even offered a secure garage for my motorcycle, which is very thoughtful. Of note: you need to pay in cash, and the nearest ATM is in the next village (3 km) so be prepared; the rooms are up a narrow staircase; there is limited parking in front of the hotel, more in surrounding streets; there is a little supermarket 2 minutes walk away from the hotel; there is no obvious other restaurant choice in the village (there might be a pizza delivery service, I didn't investigate).

The staff member we dealt with was incredibly helpful and cheerful. The Ostalou is very good for a single night as a driving break for a longer journey. There are numerous restaurants close by and the parking although not specific to the hotel is large and free.

Located only 1 kilometre from the centre of Issoire, close to the A75 motorway, the ibis Issoire is the ideal place for a stopover in the Monts d'Auvergne region.

Easy access for the motorway Staff were very friendly A tea tray was provided for us free of charge and they provided food on Sunday evening when everything around was closed!
