Gouelet Ker, hotel in Landévennec

Gouelet Ker Ile de sein is a traditional Breton farmhouse set by the seaside, a 25-minute drive from the centre of Brest. It offers individually decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi access.

All good, a lovely location with a sense of being in the countryside yet still with easy access to a range of places. A charming host, made us feel very welcome and friendly with some useful information about the locality. We hope to return, so this may be the most apt recommendation!

Suite privative dans maison de caractère, hotel in Landévennec

Located in Le Faou, the recently renovated Suite privative dans maison de caractère provides accommodation 31 km from National Maritime Museum, Brest and 42 km from Departmental Breton Museum.

This was our penultimate stop on our cycling trip to Brest. Instead of the usual double room, here we had a whole suite - including a little terrace - , in a house that is in the very middle of Le Faou. Very lovely host, who gave us great tips for dinner and breakfast.

Annick, hotel in Landévennec

Boasting garden views, Annick offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 49 km from Departmental Breton Museum.

We spent a night at Annick's during our road trip in Bretagne. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute and welcomed us warmly when we got there. Their place is easy to locate and the parking is a few meters in front of a beautiful church. They have a gorgeous house and the room ( rather a whole floor) is in their house, so it is super cosy, spacious and comfortable! The best sleep we have had in ages! For breakfast, we had great coffee, and fresh bread, croissants, homemade jams etc. While we loved everything about the place, the hosts are the real star of this place! They are both warm, funny, charming and super kind! We wish we had stayed longer and hope that they will be able to accommodate us the next time. We could write a million things and it still couldn't describe how much we loved our stay! Thank you so much! 100% recommend staying at their lovely home!

A L Ancre de la Rive, hotel in Landévennec

Located in Le Faou and only 30 km from National Maritime Museum, Brest, A L Ancre de la Rive provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Nicole and Serge were such lovely hosts and did everything to make us feel at home. They spent time with us explaining the best places to visit. We actually arrived half an hour early and left a little late too. We were on the motorbike and they let us use the garage, though the house is set back from the road so it would have been tucked away safely anyway. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the view of the palm trees in the garden and river in the distance. We loved the location as we wanted to ride the motorbike on the Crozon peninsula to the West and also through the Mont d'Arrée to the East and then travel on to the South next. Faou itself is quite pretty too.

The creperie next to the abbey serves by far the besst crepes I've had in over 20 years of fairly regular visits to France. Nice walk round the point from the quay (but you still can't get close to the boat cemetry) . Easy to get to fascinating places like Camaret.
