We booked the property for two nights at 19.00, paid 220 euros, was 15 minutes drive from the property when the host called us and say that we can't attend. The property was not ready and due to the weather conditions - two days earlier it was a lot of snow - we were told that it's impossible to drive to the property!!! We were told by the host that we would need a big 4×4 or snow chains fitted to our car to gain access to the house. We were driving all day, very tired and were shocked with the situation. As the weather conditions were bad and they new about it, the notice should be placed on the website for adverse weather conditions in the area. So we asked the host to council our reservation as it was non refundable from our site, considering we had just booked it ten minutes before. We had to stay in the hotel and paid another 220 euros.
The money for the stay was taken and never refunded, and as it was not our fault not to go to the property we have been unfairly charged and booking. com has done nothing about it either.
We would like to have some response from the host and booking. com.

Mieka and Jan were wonderful hosts. They recommended and booked restaurants for us and prepared a wonderful meal another night. They were great company. They also recommended places to visit and sights to see. The beds were comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was great, too. Highly recommend.

From its exterior, unexpected nice hotel. Spacey room, very clean, including sanitair. Excellent shower as well.
The food served is tasty en of high and honest quality, and definitely sufficient even for serious eaters. The owner is a good chef, his wife a perfect waitress. Besides that, they're extremely friendly and helpful.
