Very warm welcome and an impromptu search party organised when our satnav didn’t get us quite there. The cottage was rustic but well equipped. The heating had failed not long before our arrival and plug in radiators had been provided as well plenty of firewood for the fire. It is a rural location which comes with a few minor annoyances, eg flies in the cottage, but it didn’t detract from our stay.

Parking no problem - secure and spacious. Room (we paid for a superior one) spacious, quiet and spotlessly clean. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Very welcoming for dogs!

The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the main A route. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food was superb.
