The owner was amazingly kind. He made me feel comfortable and did some stuff out of the original service. He was familiar with history about Joan of Arc. I had a special stay.

Perfect place to get away from everything.

Perfect place to get away from everything. The place to be if you’re interested in Jeanne d’Arc or exploring the nearby countryside. Quirky, sleepy little village. If you don’t drive - bring supplies. The restaurants serve at limited times and there is no nearby grocery store (or one that I could find!) I hiked the 10km or so from Neufchâteau and very much enjoyed the journey, though you do walk on some roads which can be busy. The village itself is friendly, quiet and very charming. The house of Jeanne d’Arc and museum are wonderful, though that is the reason why I came to the area so I’m very biased. Other than that there is lots of countryside around you, a few hidden statues and that’s about it. Perfect for travelling for relaxation or if you want to research, work and draw like I did. Maybe not the place for you if you want excitement and nightlife however. Simply, I loved it.
