Fabulous self contained apartment/gite that was very well appointed that was immaculate.
We had to be in La Chartre sur Le Loir for an appointment and the position of the village where the gite was situated was very convenient. Very easy to find in the countryside and the hosts sent thru the Google directions that were easy to follow straight to their farm.

This is a delightfully peaceful place to stay in spacious, attractive grounds. Our room was beautifully furnished and stylish with stunning bathroom. There are great facilities including a lovely swimming pool and covered outdoor dining area. Everything is immaculately clean. Camille, who runs the place with real flair and attention to detail, is a marvellously welcoming host. She served us a delicious evening meal of local charcuteries and cheese - accompanied by an excellent Sauvignon blanc - perfect after a long journey on a warm day. Breakfast was very good, too and we left very reluctantly, wishing we could stay longer. We can’t recommend La Limetiere highly enough. Thank you, Camille, for everything you did to make our stay so special.

Very unusual property in a round tower on two floors. The bedroom was exceptional and lovely, accessed up a beautiful curved staircase which could be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. The bed was very comfortable. The conversion and restoration of the building has been done very well and it is full of interest. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and restful and convenient for travelling en route to Caen. Parking private , and as we had our bikes on the back we felt confident that they would be safe.
It was nice to be able to make our own breakfast and drinks etc. Breakfast can be provided on request.

The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were comfortable and provided everything we needed. Nice hand soap, too. Good parking facilities.
I loved it from the moment we drove in. If you are looking to have an authentic french farm stay on a working agricultural farm you will love it. The gite is newly built and the hosts fitted it out beautifully. An immaculate kitchen with coffee pods waiting, a large bathroom with a good sized shower it was excellent. A new washing machine/ironing board/iron and vaccum cleaner were at hand. The bed was super comfortable made up with lovely linen and the bathroom towels were super thick. The hosts and their gorgeous young son could not have been more welcoming... I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return to Chemillé sur Dême again soon !
