I was travelling from Portugal to Caen for a cross-channel ferry and needed somewhere not far of the road and a bit over half-way. Bel Air Maison was excellent. Nice bedroom, good shower and lovely breakfast with home-made treats.

Breakfast was lovely, though not extensive. Loved the situation, the grounds, the pool etc. Felt quite shabby chic, which worked for us, but wouldn't work so well perhaps for others; the key to the door didn't really lock properly, we struggled to open the window, there were no products in the bathroom, just a wrapped bar of guest soap and unbranded soap in the shower. It's really more of a bed and breakfast set up; there's no restaurant, no bar, no mini-bar (although there is a shared fridge you could keep things in). Slightly unusual feel in as much as the desk was operated a few hours a day, but otherwise there's no one there... Would have been lovely to have had a few personal touches, such as bathroom products, proper tea/coffee facilities, perhaps an honesty bar if they didn't want to extend further. The staff were lovely and enabled us to have tea by providing milk, but otherwise there was no milk provided for use in the room for tea, just instant coffee and 2x teabags provided on the tray. The pool was gorgeous and unspoilt, adorable glass pool house alongside. As I say, staff were lovely, but it was less a luxury chateau experience, more a bed and breakfast experience.
Location of hotel perfect was adjacent to motorway, with spacious free parking, there was a secure enclosure for a fee: Although very close to motorway, we did not find it noisy with traffic. Hotel was pleasant clean, receptionist helpful & efficient. Room was very adequate for an overnight stop, modern clean comfortable, bathroom with good shower. We were able to have dinner at the restaurant next door to hotel with a 10% discount upon showing our hotel details, meal was good. We cannot comment on breakfast as we did not have breakfast.
The hotel is well designed, the room had enough space and beds for 5 although there were only 4 of us, check in was very simple, the room was bright and well designed, the shower was very good and loved the mirror in the bathroom, beds were very comfortable and breakfast was good, overall a very good place to stay and I will return.
Have stayed at this hotel several times it is half way between Calais and Alicante, 1 minute off motorway. they have secure overnight parking and there is a restaurant next to hotel. Unfortunately it has changed ownes since last visit and is very limited menu. there are fast food outlets within 500m
A hotel very well-located for an overnight stop. Good restaurant adjacent. Room was simple but modern and clean. Very close to the motorway exit, but our room was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was buffet-style; not an extensive choice but plenty to eat. Pets allowed.
Good location for travelling. Restaurants very close by and town 5 minutes away. Feels like a very safe location. Ample parking. Outside seating area was nice and useful. Inside area for small children. An obviously very new hotel, very well presented.
Friendly stuff, very clean room and bathroom and decent breakfast. It is close to the motorway, but this is the whole point about this hotel. It is a great place to stop for the night if you are on your way to Portugal/Spain or south of France.
Recently opened and very new!
The host that welcomed us to the hotel was welcoming, friendly and could not do enough to help us.
The local basque beer on tap was great too!
Looking forward to our stay on the return leg of our journey.
On our way to Belgium we stopped in Castets; tired from driving we spend a lovely evening next to the fireplace - and a restful day so we were ready to take the road again. Very friendly people and a comfortable place!
Very friendly staff, good breakfast and beds. Very close to the A63 and next to the hotel there is a restaurant and Mc Donalds. We would recommend this hotel and will return if we go on vacation to Spain.
