Comfortable and clean and spacious room. Appreciated the microwave and fridge in the room as the hotel is on top of a hill and it rained a lot during our stay so we brought food for the evening back to the room. Friendly staff and good views. A lovely town to be in dry weather , and a lovely hotel to stay in at any time. Excellent breakfast included with plenty of choice.
Located in the centre of Bastia, Hotel Bonaparte offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi access. It is less than a 10-minute walk to the ferry port and a 5-minute walk to the train station.

The location is extremely convenient for an early departure by ferry, only 10 minutes walk to the terminal. It's about 5 minutes to the train station. It's also convenient to the city centre where the restaurants and shops are. A continental breakfast can be purchased.

Great, family run hotel, located on the hills, 15 min drive from Bastia. You can get there by car or taxi. Absolutely stunning view on the mountains and the sea. You can enjoy breakfast (big thank you! for gluten free option!) from the outside terras with spectacular mountain view. Rooms are clean and comfort.
Dinner menu is exqusite and truly top food is served! Cudos to the chef! This is type of 'place with its history', so don't expect modern type of architecture or trendy vibes. Instead, atmosphere, quitness, nature around and the owners and staff make this place great experience.

Bastia is a gorgeous village and very close to Saint Florent as well airport and a beautiful beach near the airport. We aren’t museum people but it was really very interesting in the citadel… worth a visit and free in the off season. Perhaps just a few days in Bastia would be sufficient and then head further south to explore.

City port with pretty historic center, main square, smaller port surrounded by the restaurants. Streets with the shops, cafes, good to stay for day or two. For everybody who likes the history, boats, shops, cafes and restaurants. Several public parking places (garages) are helpful, parking in the center is not easy, especially with the bigger car. Good shops with local deli.

Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do.
Bastia is an interesting city. Lots to see and do. The train journey to Ajaccio is four hours, but it’s worth doing for the stunning scenery. Apart from that there isn’t much public transport in Corsica, so it’s not easy to explore the island with a vehicle.

A nice city with a tree lined main square the citadel was beautiful and a must to visit. The port areas had some lovely restaurants and bars. Some parts of the town are a little scruffy with graffiti but unfortunately it has become expected in most cities today, just sad it spoils some of the old quaint streets.
Plenty of buses and taxis and a main train station.
Some parts are steep for walking .
Felt safe and people were friendly,

Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city.
Bastia is a busy ferry harbour city. It is a gateway to Corsica. It has several nice pedestrian only streets with plenty of shops and places to eat. It is fine for a night or two as you enter / exit Corsica (ferry or plane) it is a good hub for onward travel (bus and train) but it is not a holiday destination. There are no beaches within walking distance of the city centre.

This is not a holiday destination for those who like to laze...
This is not a holiday destination for those who like to laze on a sandy beach. It is a very beautiful mountainous island full of history, with its small towns that seem to cling to the sides of the mountains, its ancient buildings that look like they are crumbling, it's narrow winding streets with steps everywhere, its lively restaurants and bars that are a mixture of Corsican and Italian and a sea that is one minute like a mill pond and quite wild the next. The views are breathtaking, and the people are very friendly and proud of their heritage. It is a wild unspoilt place where the language is often Italian, the food has a very italian influence and the people are really kind. The town of Bastia is quite small so take the coastal train or bus. It is possible to visit the whole island in 2 weeks and well worth it.
Super views over the Mediterranean Sea and the villages on beautiful Cap Corse. The restaurant and service were outstanding - the head waiter even found our favorite vintage year, which was fantastic. You must absolutely make a reservation as the place is also popular with Bastia locals. They kindly remind you via booking.com, though. Pool is traditional and fitting the style of there house perfectly. Bar has a nice cocktail and beer selection. We had 18 minutes to the ferry in the morning.
The hosts were very welcoming, provided us with detailed information about Corsica in general and Bastia in particular, recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner and the best time to visit the local market. The guest apartment was very comfortable and clean, it had a very well equipped kitchen, excellent shower room and - last but not least - a very comfy bed. Would recommend to anyway who goes to Bastia!
A spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms, very well suitable for our family of 5 persons. Beautiful view on the sea from the living room, free parking outside. The owner is a friendly and nice person. Good location, especially if you have a car, but a bus stop is also nearby. Not far from the centre, a supermarket Monoprix about 1 km, big beach in a close distance and the airport easily accessible.
This small hotel is located next to the airport and has to good access to all areas
Room was simple but ok for 1 night. It had a TV as well as an A/C. They also offer breakfast for 11€/person optionally
Bed was good too. Mattress looks thin but was comfy
Street parking is available but hard to find a spot
Check in was easy and check out too
The hotel is well situated and has very helpful staff. The ferry and rail is nearby. It is within easy walking distance to the sights and has a coffee shop and bar downstairs. The bathroom is small but works well and our bed was very comfortable. It was our first stop on our first trip to Corsica and we felt very welcome!
Incredible noisy… the Windows are so cheap, it is like as if there are none. We stayed in a Junior Suite and didn’t sleep at all as the hotel is next to a big street and a port with many parties.
Staff didn’t help, also no reimbursements or guestures
The staff at the hotel are lovely, friendly and helpful.
The hotel has an old world charm with an artistic flair.
The room was a lovely old room, it had character.
The hotel is centrally located - so walking distance to everything in Bastia.
Olivier, the host, is fantastic and extremely welcoming. The communication went very smooth and we were able to check in late at night.
We enjoyed our time in Bastia and Olivier gave us great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Corsica.
A small cozy hotel near the train station, 10 min walk to the center (up the stairs on the way back). Pretty OK in all respects and not the tiniest crammed room you would expect in France. It even has one of those tiny hotel fridges.
The hotel is family run and the staff pleasant. Bastia is a busy city but you could walk from the hotel to the Citadel and Port along the sea front. They have a pretty terrace/garden for breakfast or an evening drink.
Hotel Riviera was easy and friendly to deal with, in a good harbor location, and very close to the ferry port, The room wax clean. Overall, it is a spartan hotel, nothing fancy, but a fair and low price.
We returned to Alivi having liked it so much when we first arrived for our holiday touring north Corsica.
Fabulous setting. Gorgeous pool area. Comfortable room and fantastic staff .
I liked the location and the view. The hotel is in the heart of the best part of Bastia and waking up looking at the sea is always special.
The bed was also comfortable.
The views to old and new harbors from the room as well as from the terrace are exceptional. Friendly helpful staff. Very nice and cozy little hotel. Loved the stay there.
Excellent located in the centre of Bastia, was a very good alternative for one night staying before leaving for Cap Corse!
Friendly staff with warm hospitality!
Very nice place to stay in the middle of the old town of Bastia. The hotel has a wonderful design and is very cosy. Our arrival receptionist was very nice.
