We stumbled across this property at short notice during our tour of the Loire valley. Were only due to stay one night, but fell in love with the place immediately, so stayed three nights! The Mill is a charming building, sensitively refurbished by the owner Tim. The setting is amazing with nothing but the sound of the river and the abundant wildlife to hear. Resident Kingfishers are a delight.

Close to the centre of Saumur, the hotel Anne D'Anjou is overlooking the river and has a view of the chateau above.

A fabulous hotel. All the staff were lovely and we were given a very warm welcome. The location is superb. Our room was very clean and comfortable and overlooked the river and the castle - fabulous! Breakfast was excellent and car parking was easy.

Everything was more than perfect. Very friendly and helpful. Beautiful little hotel. The attention to detail was stunning. The location was perfect, literally a stones throw to a lovely little Square. We went to Bistro sur la place, the food was superb. The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere, ever. Just perfect. Looking forward to a return visit!
