The hotel really exceeded our expectations. The host was extremely helpful and thoughtful, the room was lovely and the hotel grounds and views are exceptional. This is a really picturesque village with everything you would need, and the hotel is situated by a beautiful bit of the river. The villa is amazing! It’s really spacious, the rooms are very big. The kitchen is great, everything is super. We we’re only staying one night as we we’re heading home, so we did not explore the area. We really enjoyed our stay! Merci beaucoup!

Sadly we only made an overnight stay so saw only a limited amount of the town. Its riverside walks looked beautiful and the old buildings interesting. Much more to xplore in this charming town i am sure.

Lovely old riverside town, a hidden gem.
Lovely old riverside town, a hidden gem.
Beautiful and well preserved buildings, but not too chi-chi. It seems to have escaped the ravages of too much tourism.
The only disappointment was the limited selection of restaurants.

The location was terrific. The beds and pillows very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. It was very clean. We were pleased to find cold water in our room when we arrived.
We did not eat at the hotel until our final morning breakfast. It was very good and plenty of it.
Going to breakfast took us into the dining rooms for the first time. They were beautifully furnished and very clean.
There is a small pool available which was marvellous in the heat.
We did an unexpected stop to escape a downpour and found this gorgeous hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and many offer a stunning view. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and offered a delicious breakfast.. there was even the extra bonus of offering a charging station for our hybrid car. We discovered the lovely town of Argenton sur Creuse which itself is worth the trip.
There hotel was perfect for a pit stop on our way down to the south of France. The charming proprietress looked after all our needs very well, with a nice garden and pool to relax in adjacent to the hotel. Safe parking is available at an extra cost of 5€, and the centre of the town (where all the small eating places are located) is a short walk away.
A comfortable room in a great location. We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant in the courtyard. The room had been kept cool with closed shutters and the windows open but as the weather was exceptionally hot, the electric fan provided was much appreciated. The hotel was very dog friendly too. We enjoyed the fresh croissants for breakfast.
We were warmly welcomed by the owner. Our room was comfortable and pleasant in a very traditional style. We did not take advantage of any available facilities, and did not take breakfast there, so cannot moment on those aspects. Although it is a rather complicated place to find, an excellent map provided by the hotel proved invaluable.
I’m sure it’s a great place to stay in the summer but it was 0 degrees and although a radiator in bed and bathroom these hadn’t been put on and it was freezing. The staff were kind and gave us extra bedding 🥶. We had an excellent dinner in the hotel.
Very nice and charming hotel which brings you back in time. Very well located at 100 m distance from the river and very close to the village centre. Quite, clean room, great breakfast. Top!
