The check in notice according to Booking.com is for 12 noon and I arrived shortly before that. However nobody was there. Someone phoned the owners and it turns out check in is 1pm. But the owners didn't unlock the doors until 1:20 pm so I was hanging around for a long time. If I could do it over again, I would have proceeded to the next town instead of wasting time here. They have a restaurant, that also opened at 1:20 so they'd missed a lot of pilgrim traffic. I had a good sandwich and fries here. Nice backyard to relax in.

This is a fine hotel. If you're a Pilgrim (we were), it's not really Pilgrim focused. If you're looking for a private room, it's fine. The location is right across from the cathedral and El Mesón. If you're coming for those two things, it's convenient. Really, it's fine. Nothing special.
Note: The restaurant was closed when we were there. I can not speak to that. We had a lovely early morning (7am) Coffee at the Tosca Hostal down the way.
