A hidden quirky gem in the middle of the countryside and easy to access from the main road. Marcos is very welcoming. Our dogs were welcomed as well. Easy to walk the dogs. Dinner was delicious. We will go back on our way through Spain.

Just one kilometre from the Camino, this accommodation is a haven of peace in a small village. Large rooms, very friendly hosts and delicious home cooking make your stay an unforgettable experience.

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon so very quiet and only one local bar open , the hotel had a cafe. Very quiet village , shame about the huge freight lorries obviously using the road through the village as a cut through.

There is nothing to do there, then just relax.

There is a shop, where you can find the most necessary things there. The restaurant also has some choice, and the vegans would have to do with french fries and a salad, which is not that bad.
I have seen that people do not stop there much on the way to Santiago. The path from Villafranca was well-marked, you just have to follow the path, even though I was most nervous about walking the section from there, it worked well.

I liked everything! Villafranca Montes de Oca doesn’t have many services, but Hotel San Anton Abad is an all inclusive. Had sangria on the patio and dinner and breakfast in the dining room. The private room/bathroom were perfect and the bed felt great! I also thought the price was very reasonable.
Christine was such a kind sweet host. Lovely clean albergue . Room with 2 twin beds was good. Shower great . Tiny grocery store across the street . Not much cooked with some things and had a lovely dinner in the kitchen with 3 other people . Perfect .
Amazing place! The couple that owns it were so amazing and they cook the best food ever! They made me feel at home. It is my favorite albergue so far on my Camino Frances! When I do this again, I’ll be staying here again!
Beautiful old hotel right on the Camino. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very pleasant bar area to have a drink. Lovely view from the room. Great value for money and tasty food. Had a secure place to store our bikes
If you need a little splurge after staying at albergues on the Camino this historic building fills the bill. Absolutely quiet, sparkling clean, and loaded with antiques and period furniture like a fine country house.
The hotel was very pretty. The pilgrim meal was very good. The woman serving the room for the meal was excellent! The area around the property was nice to sit and relax.
Right on the route of the Camino with a good restaurant next door (owned by the family that own the hotel). The owner was lovely - bright, friendly and helpful.
big room, interesting decoration of the hotel throughout, the fact that there is a restaurant and a bar with snacks, free parking outside, very friendly staff
Everything it was beautiful in our hotel room including the air conditioner. The pilgrims meal was wonderful and the included breakfast was a full buffet
