This area is quit as we were here in October ,but we like it that way, Very good area for relaxing and just to chill. There are a few bars around within walking distance, and a few restaurants, It is a little like overdeveloped but where with such fantastic beaches and walks is not spoiled, putting that aside its still fantastic. You can walk for miles if its you thing or just chill on the local beach. There is a Spar shop down the road a quit big one so supplies are ok. There is a canal that joins the main marina to the sea, on weekends its very busy with boats going out and is quit noisy with boat engines. The bridge lifts up every 2 hours to allow the sail boats pass, quit a lovely site. Quit a few bars/restaurants close here around mid October so walking to one is not really an option. There is a local bus service (Google it) we had a car. If your looking to chill and relax great place ,if your looking hustle and bustle forget it. If you really want to explore the area you need a car.And finally we found the are very safe.
