parking just in front of the hotel, quiet area despite being in walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. the best was being able to sit in the garden and read peacefully. check-in was super simple and no problem that I did my booking 30 minutes before arrival. room was spacious and had a great view with large windows. would come again!

Wonderful apartment with kitchen and living room. Comfy bed and outside balcony. Everything I needed was there. I would highly recommend this for hikers and adventurers who need space to wash and dry kit and prep for day trips.

Excellent evening meal as always, never disappoints.
The town is in the middle of the Picos de Europa. Although not as well-known as some other mountain ranges, the scenery is as good as the Alps, if not better, The town centre is fairly flat with plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a very nice ice cream shop. All the local people we met were very friendly.

A pleasant village in the Picos - provides a better alternative to the busy and more popular Potes and Panes. Eating out is reasoanbly easy, though choice can be a bit limited. Quite a few hotels here and some smaller guest houses too. Scenery in the area is outstanding - I recommend for anything from walking to motorcycling.

We had timed our visit to coincide with the Cabrales cheese and cider festival (last Sunday of August) as we have attended this before and enjoyed it and we were not disappointed; the whole town was buzzing with people, traditional Asturian music and costumes and lots of superb traditional food.
There’s a regular bus service to Poncebos from where there is access to lovely walks such as the village of Bulnes (can also be accessed by funicular train) and the stunning Cares Gorge and others

This town is a gateway to Picos de Europa, where we did several days of hiking. There are some good hotels here. However, food choices are very limited, especially for vegetarians/vegans. Note that most places don't start serving dinner until 8 pm, which was a challenge after we'd been out on the trails until the afternoon.

Las Arenas is set in stunning Picos scenery.
Las Arenas is set in stunning Picos scenery. Cheese cave is close and worth visting, set above river of the clearest water. The approach to Las Arenas from the east is through a spectacular limestone gorge, along a good road with stopping places from which to enjoy the views. We did not have time to take funicular to Bulnes but would do that if we went again.

Came here to walk the Cares Route through Picos de Europa - a stunning part of Spain, simply beautiful. Lots of options in town for eating and drinking, and a supermarket also. Enjoyed our brief stat. The Cares Route walk, 24 kms, is not for the faint hearted though!

Clean, cozy and quiet little hotel in the heart of the Picos de Europa. Perfect location for a hiking holiday or just to spend some time in nature. The staff were kind and very helpful giving us information about the area. The room and bathroom were incredibly spacious with beautiful views. Breakfast was simple and healthy with everything needed to fuel up for a day of hiking. The sitting room with the extensive library and wood fire was the perfect place to relax in the cool evenings.
This was a lovely hotel/apartment. It was clean and the small kitchen area was equipped sufficiently for breakfast and making a light meal. Fridge is very useful. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay so much we returned later in our vacation. Arenas is a lovely town with good places to eat and, if you have a car, easy access to the northern part of the Picos. There are a few walks directly from the town.
Ivan was the nicest host, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is in a fantastic location, in the beautiful town on las arenas cabrales….but slightly away from the Main Street. There were great dining options nearby, a laundromat 100 mtrs away, fantastic access to the hiking routes, next to ample free parking. we were there during a festival and it was just the right time and right place.
This was a lovely gem of a hotel. It was very clean, the staff were really helpful and friendly also. Good breakfast selection. We wanted to go walking in the Pico's and it was a perfect location for us as we could easily get to more walks than we could physically do in the week we stayed there. We had a lovely room which was very comfortable and both slept really well.
Our stay at the Pension was great, parking with plenty of space right in front and the host is super nice! It was very convenient to have access to the outside kitchen. The kitchen equipment wasn't the cleanest, though this is not to be blamed on the host but unfortunately fellow travelers). Great location for access to the Picos de Europa with great hikes.
For 5 Euros per person, the breakfast is a bargain. The location of the hotel and it's entire ambience is far beyond what I imagined. Extremely helpful staff that spoke good English to help with my spotty Spanish was another plus. The village of Las Arenas is also well worth exploring - quaint and lovely.
Very good accommodation with free parking on the dirt outside of the building, close to the most famous trail of Picos de Europa, well equipped kitchen, spacious apartment. The price of the accommodation was really great compare to the others by the ocean, and you can get to the beach in only 40 minutes.
Comfortable and clean hotel in a great central location in Arenas for all the local facilities, restaurants and bus stops. Very helpful staff. It is also a good place to explore this part of the Picos de Europas. The Ruta de Cares walk is a must as are the various walks from Sotres.
Fabulous location and a really lovely town. Good access to nearby popular walks and a fabulous area to explore. The view was really special and the room was a good enough size for the price paid. Very quiet little hotel, just a couple of minutes from great bars and cafes.
Beautiful, scenic, and quiet location. Clean, comfortable, and simple rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dinner was exceptional especially for a mountain hotel . It was the best meal of our ten-day Asturias holiday. Breakfast was also very nice.
Good location, it was a quick walk (~5min) to town. We hiked ruta del cares and it was a quick drive to the trailhead (there’s also a shuttle from town that takes folks there). There was easy parking at the hotel and the staff was wonderful.
Lovely modern hotel right in the centre of town. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They responded well to emails and adjusted our stay for us quickly and easily. Lovely views from the second floor windows.
This was a basic hotel with helpful staff and clean rooms. The breakfast included was good, although a bit odd to a buffet but table service. We were able to get breakfast earlier than stated, which really helped us
Florentina is a wonderful host. Very nice, helpful and definetly a more cosy stay than one of the bigger hotels/stays in the area. She also gave us some tips for the hiking we were planning in the area!
The staff were very helpful and did their best when they were there and we had no problem with them
Location of the hotel and views of mountain were good.
