This is very much an off the beaten track hotel, set in a village of just 30 inhabitants... so really, really small. For the first time this trip (an 8 weeker, 6 weeks in) the 'check-in' time of 4pm meant just that. So when I arrived early (bad timing, my fault), I had to ride to the nearest town to kill a couple of hours. The hosts, mother and son are fabulous and Augustine is especially good with Google translate, it makes life so easy ;) Unbelievably, I was the only guest this night so chose not to have an evening meal, but breakfast covered all bases, sweet, savory, juice, coffee etc. etc.
La Vega lies in Alcalá de la Selva, within the Gúdar Mountains. It features free parking, a small outdoor pool and a spa with Turkish bath, hot tub and sauna.
