This is one of the nicest places we have stayed, ever. The setting is beautiful and the apartment a gem. Whoever chose the colours of the furnishings has a rare idea for colour. Everything was comfortable & well thought out. As an added bonus, the restaurant is just along the passageway.

Secure off road parking and very close to the port for getting to the ferry for Morocco. The reception staff were excellent, the hotel facilities were also really excellent with a pool, gym, restaurant etc

This hotel is one of the very best run, most welcoming and excellent I have ever stayed in. If you measured against top London or global hotels the customer service, exceptional cuisine and room comfort would be second to non. It is built within an ancient Moorish Castle dating back to the 13th century. Sympathetically adapted with views 360o from the mountain peak, with soaring Iberian eagles .. it is breathtaking. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am just bewildered by it’s 3 star rating!!
It’s our beloved castle’s hotel. Got in for two nights right after wedding. In the whole hotel parts of the actual building structure can be seen. Lovely vibe. Got the best room with an excellent view and a tiny terrace overlooking at the reservoir. super silent nights, great to relax during the day. The restaurant (in the castle) and the bar (in the hotel, again with lovely views) are also nice to have on site. They provide a quick basic breakfast - good to have, considering the very few rooms.
the reception and breakfast is in the castle tower. the room turned out to be a house within the castle walls. two floors, kitchen, small dining table and bathroom on ground floor, bedroom upstairs. nothing fancy, but very cozy and authentic, and right across from the good restaurant, also run by the hotel. Castellar, of course, is spectacular, and you're staying IN the castle
The accommodation was so quaint and historically perfect. It is a proper old fashioned historical cottage within the ancient castle walls. We loved it! The coffee and service in the hotel was brilliant. Dinner in the restaurant was superb.staff couldn’t do enough.
This is an old castle transformed in a good hotel. Extremely beautiful and quiet area.

Welcoming stuff.
Beautiful location with a great view from room. Clean, comfortable and quiet. A good selection available for breakfast. Evening meal in hotel restaurant was lovely and good value
A great venue for a special occasion
The hotel was lovely, great decor and the swimming pool was really clean and lots of loungers for around the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were good, very good value for money.
Wonderful location in the Castellar Castle. A really beautiful little town and surrounding area. We enjoyed several nice hikes in the area and the hotel restaurant in town is worth a visit.
This is a hidden gem, the whole hotel is a museum yet with very big and comfortable newly renovated rooms. We just wish we could have stayed a bit longer
