It's stunningly beautiful, incredibly peaceful, and crossing either of the main passes leading into the valley - the Offenpass or the Umbrail - takes your breath away. The Monastery of St John, an hour's walk away, is fascinating. The entire valley is criss-crossed by PostBuses, which means you can get to or from almost anywhere you'd like to walk without using a car.
