Lovely, boutique-style little hotel along the main road, in easy reach of great restaurants as well as the train station. Wonderful, simple design of the rooms, with lots of wood. I stayed in a small double room, which was spacious enough for a few days and even featured a Nespresso coffee machine. Generally good attention to details and design (e.g., the elevator). The spa in the basement reflects the hotel's overall style: small, but beautifully designed (with columns, wooden floor, and white ceiling) and featuring everything that's needed (sauna, whirlpool, and steam room). Quiet and peaceful, overall.
Enjoying a quiet and central position in Pontresina, Hotel Garni Chesa Mulin offers modern rooms, a sauna, a garden, a terrace, and garage parking. Free WiFi is available.

The room was super cozy, nicely decorated (as the whole hotel), really clean. The hotel has an awesome wellness area with three saunas, a chill space with tea, water, and little snacks, plus an amazing view.
Breakfast was included, and had a variety of delicious bread from their own bakery which is also worth visiting, as it offers some unique creations. Apart from bakery, there is also a very nice restaurant.
The hotel is in a great spot, right by public transport (bus connection to the railway station and neighboring villages), shops, and the whole Engadin cross-country trail network, easy to reach on foot or by bus. They also have a skiing and waxing room, perfect for any cross-country skier.
The owners and staff are super friendly, always there to help out with info or suggestions.

We stayed in Pontresina for 5 nights in early October.
We stayed in Pontresina for 5 nights in early October. It is a charming town. We arrived by train, and Pontresina makes an excellent place to stay if you want to experience the Bernina Express train journey.
The railway station is within walking distance of most of the accommodation, but it would be a struggle with luggage. Our hotel had its own vehicle for transfers, I think most hotels offer the same.
When we were there (early October) most of the other travellers were Swiss. While there were plenty of options in terms of restaurants, most visitors were outdoor/ nature loving folk who went for a quiet meal in the evening and then got a good night’s sleep. So the town was very quiet at night, which suited us perfectly.
A pass for local transport: trains/ busses/ furnicular railways/ cable cars was included in our hotel tarrif, and this was fabulous. From Pontresina we walked to St Moritz one day and enjoyed the St Moritz cable car, then returned to Pontresina by bus. On another day we caught the train Bernina Diavolezza and the cable car to view the Morteratsch Glacier. We used the “Komoot” app to find other hikes.

I love everything about Pontresina, the lovely village, the options for excursions and hiking, the views, the nice cafés & tearooms, the museum, music in Taiswald, the Bellavita swimming pools & sauna world, free of charge public transport, the weekly market Laret, cultural program, friendly people especially if one speaks the dialect or Romantsch..., the list is endless.

It was a starting point for the cross country ski race.
It was a starting point for the cross country ski race. It is easily accesible by train which is a big plus. There was a place to spent some time before start. It is also a nice starting point for many cross country ski routes in Engadin.

Pontresina is just one of many pretty villages in the upper Engadine, which is among our favourite places in Switzerland because of its elevation, climate, sights and attractions. It is not as touristy and overbuilt as St Moritz, yet has all the amenities to make for a pleasant stay: choice of accommodations and restaurants, coffee shops, retail, guides and outfitters, etc.
It is centrally located with easy access to the valleys of Pushlav, Bergell or the lower Engadine by car or public transport. A great place for those who love nature, mountains, beautiful scenery, amazing outings by rail or post bus, superb fall colours, hiking and mountaineering in summer or skiing in winter. Numerous chairlifts, cable cars and mountain railways in the region offer easy access to spectacular views of the southern alps.

Pontresina is well situated, right on the Bernina Express line and basically near the confluence of the Bernina and Inn rivers, with easy access to the valley of the Inn and the valleys to the south going to the Italian border. Make sure to stay 2 or more nights and get the Engadin card that includes Bergbahn (mountain trains, e.g., trams, funiculars, chair lifts, gondolas and cable cars) so that you have access to all the wonderful high mountain areas in the region at no additional cost. In summer it is hiking paradise, in winter a winter sport hub, and in the fall is ablaze with golden larches.
The hotel has a charming, traditional atmosphere though has obviously been refurbished and looked after. The breakfast choice was excellent. We ate dinner here which delicious and good value. The spa was super clean, light and welcoming with a fairly large swimming pool and well laid out spa area.
Their are walks from the hotel or the hotel will take you down to the train station (a fifteen minute walk) from where you can catch a train to destinations along the Bernina line.
The Hotel is amazing with beautiful ddcorations. The staff is always friendly and very caring. They get to know your likings and are so forthcoming.
Every afternoon you can get cake and tea in the salon. The Spa facilities are very nice and clean. The food is amazing. I really liked how the owner Mr. And Mrs. Walther regularly came to ask if everything was in order. They are super friendly to dogs and even prepared a bed for our dog.
Cute hotel along the hiking/biking/skiing paths in a gorgeous location, and right at a train station! Free parking was also available. Comfortable bunkbeds. Very good shower. Breakfast was great, and it was included. A short drive from St Moritz. Even if you don't eat dinner at the hotel, be sure to get some torte, we tried 3 of the 5 and all were excellent!
We had an excellent stay at Hotel Schweizerhof Pontresina and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rooms. The rooms look way better in reality compared to the pictures.
The staff was very friendly down to the detail of asking us the size of our car so they can find a proper parking place.
Peaceful location, a short walk to Pontresina which is a very quaint and quiet area compared to St Moritz. Not mentioned on booking is that you get a engadin card good for all lifts/train in the area—must pay for bike (if you’re a biker, it is a half fare for bikes). The breakfast was incredible!
Great location close to the station but was not affected by any noise. The mountain views were lovely to see. Breakfast was great with a good selection to choose from. The bedroom was a good size with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The sauna in the hotel was available for use too.
Pontresina is pleasant and a much better place to stay than money magnet St Moritz. Many good restaurants were within walking distance. Did not have to use our car during our stay with the excellent free transportation system. The hotel has a good breakfast and a few free parking places.
I liked that the staff was super friendly and one waiter even spoke our native serbian language which surprised us positively😊
We were generally very happy with our stay and the whole hotel service, so we will most definitely come again some time.
Breakfast in the beautiful cafe is wonderful - love the varieties to choose from, and wooden tables and walls, and beautiful flowers outside of the window, and friendly staff. This hotel sits in a beautiful natural setting.
Spa is a nice feature. Breakfast was okay, rooms are clean and everything mostly works. Overall it's ok for the price point, but I wouldn't stay here if I were planning on spending much time at the hotel during the day.
The staff always remember us from
previous visits and are extremely helpful and polite. The hotel is perfectly situated and has absolutely everything you need, including the lovely pool and spa.
Classic and comfortable property in Pontresina, a convenient and attractive town to explore Engadine. Excellent hospitality for a larger hotel. Loved “street market evening” on Thursday.
good location at the edge of Pontresina and great access to the good slopes in the Bernina pass. Hotel is quiet with good facilities and a great restaurant. lovely staff.
A very nice hotel with a cosy feel, centrally located in Pontresina’s Main Street. The room was slightly dated but comfortably large, very nice balcony and good views.
Beautiful elegant hotel with an awesome view. Staff were attentive , helpful n friendly.
Served with joy . The spa facilities were good . Rooms were clean and cosy
Fantasticky hotel! Its secluded location lends a romantic feel, and it's conveniently situated near the ski slopes. We'll definitely return for next visit.
